Brice William Bell1

b. 16 November 1915, d. December 1985
     Brice William Bell was born on 16 November 1915 at Akron, Summit Co., OH.1 He was the son of Thomas Robinson Bell and Katherine Elizabeth Brice.1 Brice William Bell died in December 1985 at Akron, Summit Co., OH, at age 70.2

Brice received his education in Akron, Ohio. He entered the army 27 July 1942, and was assigned to Patterson Field, Fairfield, Ohio. He was there for three months and taught in the Mechanical Engineering Department. He then went to Pendleton, Oregon, and entered cadet training, studying mathematics, navigation, and flight. He then spent three months taking advanced training in Glendale, California. Five months of flight training in San Antonio followed and bomb training in Pendleton, Oregon. He was assigned as engineer on B-17s and Liberators 24s, preparatory training for B-29s. On the 3rd of May 1944 he entered the European Theater of Operations as Aerial Engineer, 8th Air Force.

His citations were many: Good Conduct Medal, American Service Medals, European Service Medals, Six Bronze Stars, and a World War II Victory Medal. He also received a Lifetime Federal License, A and E -- Aircraft and Engineering. Three injuries from shrapnel were also among his souvenirs. He received his Honorable Discharge 16 November 1945, and is now employed as Shop Foreman by Ken-Tool, and tire Builder by B. F. Goodrich Company.

Viola is Supervisor for Remple Rubber Company, a company which manufactures rubber specialties, toys and novelties. She received her education in Salineville, Ohio. Her Hobby is travel, and she has visited the forty-eight states and Canada. 3

Theodore Cameron Bell1

b. 25 November 1921, d. 12 October 1999
     Theodore Cameron Bell was born on 25 November 1921 at Akron, Summit Co., OH.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Robinson Bell and Katherine Elizabeth Brice.1 Theodore Cameron Bell died on 12 October 1999 at OH at age 77.2

Theodore was educated in Akron, Ohio, and entered the United States Army in October 1942, training at Ft. Hayes, in Columbus, Ohio, and St. Petersburg, Florida, and was assigned to the 69th Squadron. He took radio training in Scott Field, Illinois, entering in December, 1942. He was an Upper Communications Officer and assigned to Instructor's training and taught here, giving training in Basic Radio Fundamentals.

He went to Boca Raton, Florida, where he was radio operator and helped train officers. He trained in LORAN -- Long Range Navigation -- at Reno, Nevada Air Force Base, and in the spring of 1945 he went to India by way of Bermuda, the Azores, North Africa, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. In India he was engaged in the operations of flight plans and facilities. He flew Personnel, P.X. supplies, fuel drums, taking him to Burma, China, Thailand, and Manila. The close of the war found him in India.

He received his Honorable Discharge in May, 1946, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana. He is now dispatcher and Ticket Agent for the Greyhound Company. They have constructed a fine home in Akron, and he enjoys playing the guitar in dance orchestras.

Gladys is artistic and loves music. She worked at Goodyear Aircraft, as Secretary to the Superintendent. 3
