He moved from Pittsburgh into a retirement village in Plains after suffering a stroke about two years ago, said his sister Allethea Wall. He also had had congestive heart failure, she said.
"He was really suffering this week and had trouble breathing," she said. "We told him it was time for him to go see mother and daddy."
Mrs. Wall and Mrs Carter have lost their two brothers this year. Murray Smith, 71, a retired teacher, coach and pastor, died of cancer in January.
Mrs. Wall said she'll always remember how her brother Jerry loved to dance. "I remember because he taught me the jitterbug," she said.

After his wife's early death he lived with his childrena nd died in fitzgerald Ga. He was buried in Hartsfield, Colquit Co., Ga. William Henry Bell married Mary Eleanor Fulford, daughter of James Fulford and Martha Ellen Halley. William Henry Bell was born in 1843. He was the son of Charles Allison Bell and Susanna Singer. William Henry Bell died in 1927.

Johann Singer

Johann (John) was a native of Stuttgart, which at the time of his birth was in the Kingdom of Wurttemberg, now West Germany. he migrated to the U.S. at an early age and married in 1818 in Hancock Co., Temperance Carr. They lived in Hancock Co. on a farm along Island Creek for several years, moving to Macon, Bibb Co. in the 1820s and then to Stewart Co. in the 1830s. John Singer left a will at his death in 1855 and is buried in the Lumpkin City Cemetery. His nephew of the same name is the ancestor of the Singers who are active in local affairs in Lumpkin and have been instrumental in the development of the 1850 Village of Westville.
Singer's sons, and his widow, moved, after his death, to Butler Co., Ala. Johann Singer was born in 1784 at Stuttgart, Kingdom of Wurttemberg. He married Temperance Carr in 1818 at Hanckck Co., GA. Johann Singer died in 1855.
