     Dr. Benjamin Franklin Johnson was born on 18 June 1816 at Bridgeport, VA (now WV).¹ He was born on 18 June 1816 at Bridgeport, WV. He was the son of Gov. (?) Johnson. Dr. Benjamin Franklin Johnson married Emily Griswold, daughter of Gen. George Harlow Griswold and Mila Thompson, on 16 March 1840.
