Born on April 16, 1949 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Curtis F. Mewborn, Sr. and Mary Helen Crook Mewborn. Ms. Belcher was a graduate of University of Ga with a Master’s degree in Social work and was a retired owner of Violette Restaurant in Atlanta.
Survivors include two daughters: Kathryn Brooke Belcher Robinson (Rob) of Dunwoody, GA and Robin Belcher Micou (Christopher) of Brookhaven, GA; one brother: Curtis Mewborn (Debbie) of Dewy Rose and one aunt: Phyllis Adams of Royston. Ms. Belcher was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service celebrating Stephanie’s life will held on Sunday, March, 19, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Bryce Behnke officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Callanwolde.org/scholarship program.
A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held in Atlanta at a later date.

family moved to Toledo, Or. Where William had a farm near Mile Four, later
retired, moving to Toledo.
Clay County, Neb. Owning farms near the village, he ran a "livery and sale
stable" in Fairfield, making the importation and breeding of thoroughbred
stock a specialty. All the children were born at Fairfield, Neb. The
family moved to Toledo, Or. Where William had a farm near Mile Four, later
retired, moving to Toledo.
