Henry L. Holcomb Jr., 87, of 81 Nottingham Terrace, and also of New Hampshire, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, at Abbott Terrace Health Center. He was the widower of Shirley (Porter) Holcomb.
Mr. Holcomb was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Hartford, son of the late Henry L. Holcomb Sr. and Rena (Casey) Holcomb. He was a graduate of the Gilbert School in Winsted, and worked as a metallurgist at Anaconda/American Brass for more than 45 years, until his retirement. He lived in Waterbury, and after his retirement he moved to New Hampshire, where he lived until returning to Waterbury in 2002. He was a veteran of the Army, and a member of the NRA and a grand squadron commander for the Waterbury Area Power Squadron.
He leaves a daughter, Jan Sullivan of Watertown; a granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements: Funeral and burial are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville.
