Charles and Betsey may have had two sons, Irving and Friend who appear in later census records with a father born in VT and a mother born in CT but no information to connect them yet. Irving was enumerated in the 1880 Southington CT census in the household of his grandfather Cyrenius Smith; no parent was listed.
