     John Clark Ellsworth was born on 22 February 1793. He was the son of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong. John Clark Ellsworth married Eliza Tolman. John Clark Ellsworth died on 11 July 1861 at age 68.

"John was a missionary of the A.B.C.F.M., to the Cherokees in Georgia (1821 - 36). With great reluctance he returned from this field, on account of the failing health of his wife, in 1836, to Greensboro (Vt.) where he spent the remainder of his days as a farmer." --Benjamin Dwight.

     Eliza Tolman married John Clark Ellsworth, son of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong. Eliza Tolman died in April 1856.

     Dea. Frederic Ellsworth was born on 29 March 1795. He was the son of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong. Dea. Frederic Ellsworth married Mary Colman, daughter of Caleb Colman and Sarah Burbank, on 28 May 1821.

"Frederic was engaged with his two brothers (John and Oliver), and his sister Harriet in the Cherokee Mission for a few years from which he returned in 1827-8, and after residing in several places has for some years past been a resident of Ann Harbor, Mich." --Benjamin Dwight.

     Sophia Ellsworth was born on 20 October 1799. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong.

     Martha Ellsworth was born on 29 December 1803.¹ She was the daughter of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong.¹ Martha Ellsworth married Evelyn Hart Farnham, son of Aaron Farnham and Florella Strong, in December 1824.

     Evelyn Hart Farnham was born on 14 May 1804. He was the son of Aaron Farnham and Florella Strong. Evelyn Hart Farnham married Martha Ellsworth, daughter of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong, in December 1824.

     Oliver Wetmore Ellsworth was born on 10 February 1806.¹ He was the son of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong.¹ Oliver Wetmore Ellsworth married Amanda Elliot Cook, daughter of Moody Cook and Hannah Parker, on 1 March 1832.²

"Oliver went when sixteen years old with his brothers and sister to Brainard in the Cherokee mission, where he remained, although not under any appointment as a missionary, for four years. Brainard is about seven miles north-east from the now renowned Lookout Mountain. He says, 'I never saw the Gospel have more all-conquering power than among these Indians.' In 1826, he returned to Greensboro, Vt., since which time he has resided in Waterloo, Iowa, having been most of the time engaged in the furniture business." -- Benjamin Dwight.

     Harriet Eliza Blunt was born on 12 October 1823 at Brainard, TN. She was the daughter of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth. Harriet Eliza Blunt died on 3 December 1825 at age 2.

     Martha Ellsworth Blunt was born on 21 December 1825 at Brainard, TN. She was the daughter of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth. Martha Ellsworth Blunt married Benjamin Clark Morse on 8 September 1842.

     Benjamin Clark Morse was born on 19 September 1814 at Barnet, VT. He married Martha Ellsworth Blunt, daughter of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth, on 8 September 1842. Benjamin Clark Morse died on 1 February 1864 at Marqette, Lake Superior, MI, at age 49.

     John Ellsworth Blunt was born on 25 December 1828. He was the son of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth. John Ellsworth Blunt married Augusta Evans Wood, daughter of Hiram Wood and Prudence Stickney Evans, on 11 October 1853. John Ellsworth Blunt lived at Wheaton, DuPage Co, IL.

     Ainsworth Emory Blunt was born on 6 February 1832 at Brainard, TN. He was the son of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth.

     Sarah Elizabeth Blunt was born on 16 October 1834 at Brainard, TN. She was the daughter of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth. Sarah Elizabeth Blunt died on 27 October 1834.

     Eliza Ramsey Blunt was born on 4 September 1851 at Dalton, GA. She was the daughter of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Elizabeth Christian Ramsey.

     Harriet Elizabeth Morse was born on 2 July 1843 at Chattanooga, Hamilton Co., TN. She was the daughter of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt.

     John Emory Morse was born on 12 November 1846 at Dalton, GA. He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt.

     William Nixon Morse was born on 26 January 1849 at Dalton, GA. He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt.

     Benjamin Clark Morse was born on 30 May 1854 at Dalton, GA. He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt. Benjamin Clark Morse died on 11 November 1857 at Dalton, GA, at age 3.

     Austin Blunt Morse was born on 30 June 1857 at Dalton, GA. He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt.

     General Benjamin Clark Morse was born on 15 October 1859 at Macon City, Macon Co., MO.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt. General Benjamin Clark Morse married Jesse Cable, daughter of James Franklin Cable and Harriett Jeanette Filkins, on 9 March 1890 at Mackinac Island, MI.¹ General Benjamin Clark Morse died on 15 April 1933 at San Diego, San Diego Co., CA, at age 73.¹ He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.¹

Benjamin graduated 1884 from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Benjamin was the Commandant of Fort Mackinac on the island when he and Jessie married. Her parents ran the John Jacob Astor House on the island. This was the building that Astor built to house his fur trappers. James F. Cable added to the building and turned it into a hotel, which he ran for many years.
Benjamin C. Morse was also Commandant at Texas A&M and Fort Custer, Michigan. He was a classmate of John Pershing and fought with him in the Philippines. Benjamin C. Morse was honorably discharged from the military April 1918 with the rank of Brigadier General. ¹

     Lucian Tilton Morse was born on 24 February 1863 at Galesburg, Knox Co., IL. He was the son of Benjamin Clark Morse and Martha Ellsworth Blunt. Lucian Tilton Morse died on 20 June 1866 at Marquette, MI, at age 3.

     Augusta Evans Wood was born on 3 November 1830 at Newburyport, MA. She was the daughter of Hiram Wood and Prudence Stickney Evans. Augusta Evans Wood married John Ellsworth Blunt, son of Ainsworth Emory Blunt and Harriet Ellsworth, on 11 October 1853.

     Arthur Wood Blunt was born on 30 July 1854 at Dalton, GA. He was the son of John Ellsworth Blunt and Augusta Evans Wood.

     Clarina Howard Blunt was born on 24 August 1858 at Dalton, GA. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth Blunt and Augusta Evans Wood. Clarina Howard Blunt died on 26 February 1863 at Newburyport, MA, at age 4.

     Alice Blunt was born on 19 May 1864 at Evansville, WI. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth Blunt and Augusta Evans Wood.

     Mary Colman was born on 7 September 1798 at Boscawen, Merrimack Co., NH. She was the daughter of Caleb Colman and Sarah Burbank. Mary Colman married Dea. Frederic Ellsworth, son of John Ellsworth IV and Sarah Strong, on 28 May 1821.

     John Ellsworth was born on 28 July 1823 at Brainard, TN. He was the son of Dea. Frederic Ellsworth and Mary Colman. John Ellsworth married Susan Gage, daughter of (?) Gage and Rosanna Cowden, in February 1847 at Randolph, Cattaraugus Co., NY.

     Mary Bailey Ellsworth was born on 18 December 1826 at Hardwick, Caledonia Co., VT. She was the daughter of Dea. Frederic Ellsworth and Mary Colman. Mary Bailey Ellsworth married Alanson Moore, son of Ambrose Moore and Emmeline (?), on 27 March 1850 at Janesville, Rock Co., WI.

     Susan Gage was born on 9 November 1825. She was the daughter of (?) Gage and Rosanna Cowden. Susan Gage married John Ellsworth, son of Dea. Frederic Ellsworth and Mary Colman, in February 1847 at Randolph, Cattaraugus Co., NY.

     Frederic Alanson Moore was born on 17 February 1851 at Union, WI. He was the son of Alanson Moore and Mary Bailey Ellsworth. Frederic Alanson Moore died on 14 January 1857 at Mitchell, Mitchell Co., IA, at age 5.

     Charlotte Moore was born on 29 April 1855 at Harmony, Marinette Co., WI. She was the daughter of Alanson Moore and Mary Bailey Ellsworth.

     Susan Moore was born on 29 October 1857 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., MI. She was the daughter of Alanson Moore and Mary Bailey Ellsworth.

     Frank Moore was born on 27 April 1862 at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw Co., MI. He was the son of Alanson Moore and Mary Bailey Ellsworth. Frank Moore died on 17 April 1865 at age 2.
