RUSSELL P. STOCINIS

STOCINIS. Russell P. Stocinis, 66, of East Windsor, beloved husband of 44 years to Elizabeth (Reilly) Stocinis, died Thursdy, (Oct. 24, 1996) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Born in Hartford he lived in Windsor and Granby moving to East Windsor in 1959. Russell was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, he received the Purple Heart and Combat Service metals during the Korean War. He worked for the State of Connecticut Highway Dept. as a welder for 25 years, retiring in 1980. He also worked as a welder for the Mitchell Construction Co. of South Windsor. He was a communicant of St. Phillip Church, East Windsor. Russell was an avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed gardening. Along with his wife Elizabeth he leaves two daughters and sons-in- law, Diane Stocinis-Krah and her husband Benedict of Enfield, Gail LaChance and her husband David of Mystic; a sister, Shirley Cowles of West Hartford; a brother, Julius Stocinis, Jr. of Windsor; his grandchildren, Laura, Gabrielle, Daniel, Allison and Melissa; his uncle Peter Stocinis of Windsor; two aunts, Lorna Farley of Granby, Betty Martin of Maryland; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday (Oct. 26), 9 a.m. in St. Phillip Church, Route 5, East Windsor, burial will be private in Granby Cemetery. His family will receive friends today, from 7-9 p.m. at the Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East Street, Suffield.

     Her married name was Diane Stocinis-Krah. Diane Lavina Stocinis was born on 8 January 1953.¹ She was the daughter of Russell Phillip Stocinis and Elizabeth Ann Reilly.¹

     Jarvis W. Case was born on 2 September 1823 at West Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Warren Case and Nancy Ann Viets. Jarvis W. Case married Ellen M. Warner, daughter of C. Warner and Parmelia Cushman.¹ Jarvis W. Case died in February 1903 at West Suffield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 79.¹

Jarvis was a wheelwright for many years and carried on a large business in his shop opposite his residence.²

     Ellen M. Warner was born on 16 November 1834.¹ She was the daughter of C. Warner and Parmelia Cushman. Ellen M. Warner married Jarvis W. Case, son of Warren Case and Nancy Ann Viets.¹ Ellen M. Warner died on 14 January 1908 at West Suffield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 73.¹

     Henry L. Case was born on 13 June 1827 at West Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Warren Case and Nancy Ann Viets. Henry L. Case died on 10 February 1897 at age 69.¹

     Catherine Eliza Case was born on 4 November 1828 at West Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Warren Case and Nancy Ann Viets. Catherine Eliza Case married Francis Lucas.¹

Catherine was residing in Providence, Rhode Island in 1900.²

     Francis Lucas married Catherine Eliza Case, daughter of Warren Case and Nancy Ann Viets.¹ Francis Lucas died in May 1885.¹
