     Luther Foote was born on 5 March 1761 at West Simsbury (now Canton), Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Capt. John Foote and Roseanna Humphrey. Luther Foote married Temperance Hayes, daughter of Samuel Hayes Jr. and Rosanna Holcombe.¹ Luther Foote died on 5 March 1834 at age 73.¹

     John Trowbridge was born in 1702 at Cambridge, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ He was the son of Thomas Trowbridge and Mary White.¹ John Trowbridge married Mehetabel Eaton in 1725 at Framingham, MA.¹ John Trowbridge died on 19 May 1762 at Framingham, MA.¹

     Patty Combs was baptized on 12 November 1772 at Turkey Hills, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Ebenezer Combs and Keziah Alderman. Patty Combs married Shubael Adams on 6 April 1790 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Thomas Trowbridge was born on 10 December 1677 at Newton, Middlesex Co., MA.¹ He was the son of James Trowbridge and Margaret Jackson.¹ Thomas Trowbridge married Mary White in 1701 at Roxbury, MA.¹ Thomas Trowbridge died on 2 May 1737 at New London, New London Co., CT, at age 59.¹

     Rotheus Mitchell was the son of Seth Mitchell and Hannah Latham.¹ Rotheus Mitchell married Hepzibh Hayward.¹

     Mary Judson married James Thompson, son of John Thompson Jr. and Margaret Orton, on 12 April 1739.² Mary Judson died.¹

     Edward Theodore Canfield was born on 25 March 1852 at Chesterfield, Fulton Co., OH. He was the son of Heman A. Canfield and Amanda Gunilda Brown.

     Esther Holcombe was born on 18 April 1777 at Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Joel Holcombe Jr. and Sarah Whitney.¹ Esther Holcombe married William Stevens on 5 March 1795 at MA.¹ Esther Holcombe died on 5 May 1864 at Milford, Otsego Co., NY, at age 87.¹

Esther was enumerated in the 1860 Milford, Otsego Co., NY federal census in the household of Ezra Stevens. She was 83. She was buried at Milford Center Cemetery, Milford, Otsego Co., NY.¹

     Seth Mitchell was the son of Thomas Mitchell and Elizabeth Kingman.¹ Seth Mitchell married Hannah Latham.¹

     Margaret Orton was born in August 1677.¹ She married John Thompson Jr., son of John Thompson and Mary Steele, on 2 November 1699 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Margaret Orton died before 1724.¹

     Daniel Crawford was the son of Kenneth Crawford and Ramona Hemingway. Daniel Crawford married Jennifer Walker.

     Mary Steele married John Thompson, son of Thomas Thompson and Anne Welles, on 24 October 1670 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     John Harrison was born in 1874.¹ He was the son of John Harrison and Jane Liddell.¹ John Harrison married Jane Hill.¹ John Harrison died in 1956.¹

     Anne Welles was born circa 1620 at probably Burmington, Warwickshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Gov. Thomas Welles and Alice Tomes. Anne Welles married Thomas Thompson on 14 April 1646 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Anne Welles died before 19 October 1680 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Sir John Conyers 1st Baronet was the son of Christopher Conyers of Horden and Anne Hedworth.¹

The Baronetcy of Conyers of Horden was created in the Baronetage of England on 14 July 1628 for John Conyers of Horden, County Durham.
Between 1099 and 1133 the then Bishop of Durham, Ralph Flambard, granted lands at Sockburn, in County Durham and Hutton, in the North Riding of Yorkshire, to a Roger de Conyers. By the end of the 12th century the lands were divided between two branches of the Conyers family. The elder branch resided at Hutton Conyers, which passed to the Mallory family in 1347 after a Conyers daughter married a Mallory. The other branch was well established at Sockburn. Sockburn Hall was the family seat. The last male Conyers at Sockburn died in 1635, and his granddaughter sold the manor of Sockburn.
In the 16th century Richard Conyers of Hornby, a descendant of Sir Christopher Conyers of Sockburn, married the heiress of the Horden estate near Peterlee, County Durham, and Horden Hall became the family seat.
The second Baronet married Elizabeth Langhorne, heiress to an estate at Charlton, Kent and his son, the third Baronet inherited that estate in 1714. The third Baronet had however married the Baldwin heiress to an estate at Great Stoughton, Huntingdonshire, in 1675 and moved the family seat there.
After the death of the fourth Baronet without a male heir, the Horden estate was sold and the Charlton estate passed by entail out of the immediate family. The Baronetcy passed to his cousin, Ralph Conyers of Chester le Street, who was a great grandson of the first Baronet. He married Jane Blakiston (d.1774) on 11 June 1719 at Durham Cathedral - Jane being a scion of the "opulent House of Gibside", near Rowlands Gill. This alliance of the family with the Gibside - Bowes' further "elevated their position and grandeur". The sons of Sir Ralph and Lady Conyers succeeded as the sixth and seventh Baronets, their grandson George as eighth Baronet who upon his death, left the Baronetcy to be inherited by Thomas, their third son; Sir Thomas was the ninth and last Baronet.
Sir Thomas, the ninth Baronet, seems to have retained his bearing as a gentleman and is described as "gentleman" at his marriage in 1754 and as "esquire" in the baptismal entries of his daughters. According to Burke's Vicissitudes of Families, Durham historian Robert Surtees called on him at a Durham workhouse and, distressed at his plight, offered to raise an appeal to alleviate his circumstances. Sir Thomas replied: "I am no beggar, Sir; I won't accept any such offers." His pride extended to the rejection of financial aid from his family. Although on 10 May 1800, he had attended Westminster Abbey for the funeral of his Gibside heiress cousin, Mary Eleanor Bowes - acknowledged as the wealthiest woman in England - he accepted no aid from his relatives at Gibside, the coal-rich estate in the Derwent Valley, Wakefield, that his ancestor, Sir William Blakiston had owned.
Eventually, Surtees was modestly successful in his appeal for funds and Sir Thomas was moved to more comfortable accommodation in a private house on 1 March 1810.
The fate of Sir Thomas' brother was, according to the 1809 Gentleman's Magazine, somewhat better; Sir Blakiston Conyers (d.1791), was the "heir of two ancient titles, from which he derived little more than his name". But whereas the acceptance of the "generous patronage" of his Gibside relatives, the Bowes-Lyon family, had ensured that Sir Blakiston's situation was considerably more comfortable, his brother, Sir Thomas, died a pauper on 15 April 1810 - only months after having been rescued from the workhouse by his gentry friends.
Sir Thomas Conyers, the great great grandson of the first Baronet Conyers, had failed to sire a surviving heir, only three daughters; Jane, Elizabeth and Dorothy. All three of Sir Thomas' daughters are listed in the 1841 Burke's Peerage as marrying "working men": Jane Conyers (1756-1835) was the great great grandmother of Durham coal miner John Harrison (1874-1956).
The Baronetcy of Conyers of Horden had thus become extinct in 1810. Sir John Conyers 1st Baronet married Frances Groves, daughter of (?) Groves.¹ Sir John Conyers 1st Baronet died in 1664.

     Thekla M. Witz was born circa 1887 at New Britain, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She married Charles F. Holcombe, son of George Franklin Holcombe and Sarah Eliza Jones, before 1910.¹ Thekla M. Witz died in 1976 at New Britain, Hartford Co., CT.

     Ronald John James Goldsmith was born in 1931.¹ He married Dorothy Harrison, daughter of Thomas Harrison and Elizabeth Mary Temple.¹ Ronald John James Goldsmith died in 2003.¹

     Thomas Harrison was born in 1904.¹ He was the son of John Harrison and Jane Hill.¹ Thomas Harrison married Elizabeth Mary Temple.¹ Thomas Harrison died in 1976.¹

     Nancy Williams was born circa 1847.¹ She married Riley Holcombe, son of Ezekiel Holcombe and Rachel Neal, say 1866.¹

     Frank Hemingway was the son of Louis Randall Hemingway and Carrie May Salisbury. Frank Hemingway married Hazel Brown.

     Rachel W. Holcombe was born circa January 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Riley Holcombe and Nancy Williams.¹

     Ralph Lambton was the son of William Lambton and Anne (?)¹ Ralph Lambton married Susan Groves, daughter of (?) Groves.¹

     Elizabeth J. Kyle was born on 11 September 1845 at Nicholas Co., VA.¹ She married Paschal Holcombe, son of Ezekiel Holcombe and Rachel Neal, on 11 March 1865.¹ Elizabeth J. Kyle died on 25 August 1928 at age 82.²

     Anthony Liddell was also known as Anthony Liddle. He was born in 1816.¹ He was the son of James Liddell and Jane Hardy.¹ Anthony Liddell married Martha Stephenson.¹ Anthony Liddell died in 1857.¹

     Mary (?) was born in September 1877 at West Virginia.¹ She married Riley Holcombe, son of Ezekiel Holcombe and Rachel Neal, circa 1892.¹

     Louisa Jenette Holcombe was born on 17 June 1875 at Clay Co., WV. She was the daughter of Riley Holcombe and Nancy Williams. Louisa Jenette Holcombe died in 1947.

     William Blakiston was the son of Nicholas Blakiston and Jane Porter.¹ William Blakiston married Dorothy Lawson.

     Jane Holcombe was born in 1876 at Clay, Clay Co., WV. She was the daughter of Riley Holcombe and Nancy Williams.

     Elizabeth Holcombe was born in 1878 at Clay, Clay Co., WV. She was the daughter of Riley Holcombe and Nancy Williams.

     Lyman Foote was born on 21 June 1814.¹ He was the son of Calvin Foote and Polly Burton.¹
