Francis Case died on 24 April 1887 at Village of North Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 66.

Martha Ann Dibble married Francis Case, son of Francis Case and Jemima Case, on 7 October 1852 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. Martha Ann Dibble died on 24 May 1920 at age 91.1

     Dennis is recorded in the 1900 Granby census, film T623-136, page 12A, line 33, age 42, as a farmer. Wife "Geanna", daughter Viola, and his widowed mother Martha A. Johnson were also in the household.

Dennis and Geannah were enumerated in the 1920 Granby census, page 9B. He was a tobacco farmer, age 62, her age was illegible.

Dennis and Geannah were enumerated in the 1930 Granby (North Granby Village) census, page 10B. He was a farmer, age 72; she was 67.

Dennis Hiram Case was born on 23 August 1857 at Village of North Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Francis Case and Martha Ann Dibble. Dennis Hiram Case married Geannah Lydia Edwards, daughter of Ransom Edwards and Hannah Barker, on 18 November 1880 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT. Dennis Hiram Case died in 1948.2

Wife Celia, daughter Gertie, and brother-in-law Luther Dayton Case were also in the household. Lester Samuel Clark was born on 3 January 1852. He was the son of Chauncey Samuel Clark. Lester Samuel Clark married Celia Frances Case, daughter of Francis Case and Martha Ann Dibble, on 15 October 1874. Lester Samuel Clark died in 1942.1

     George Burton Clark was born on 5 December 1877. He was the son of Lester Samuel Clark and Celia Frances Case. George Burton Clark married Mira Goddard, daughter of Miles Goddard and Clara R. Thompson, on 1 December 1898. George Burton Clark died in 1966.2

George is recorded in the 1900 Granby census, film T623-136, page 12B, line 55, age 23 as a provision dealer. Wife Mira and daughter Anita were also in the household.

The marriage dates in Ruth Cost Duncan's book don't match the census records which indicate that George and Mira had been married three years and that Anita was nearly two years old.

     Mira Goddard was born in 1875.1 She was the daughter of Miles Goddard and Clara R. Thompson.2 Mira Goddard married George Burton Clark, son of Lester Samuel Clark and Celia Frances Case, on 1 December 1898. Mira Goddard died in 1923.1

Rebecca Ewing

b. 5 February 1842, d. 25 December 1874
     Rebecca Ewing was born on 5 February 1842 at Wilkesville, Vinton Co., OH. She was the daughter of Andrew Ewing and Taphena Holcombe. Rebecca Ewing married Alexander Rogers circa 1862.1 Rebecca Ewing died on 25 December 1874 at Wayne Co., IA, at age 32.1

In the 1860 census, Rebecca was 18 and at home in Summersett Township, Mercer County, Missouri. In 1870 the family was in Goshen City, Mill Point Township, Mercer County, Missouri.

The 1880 census showed that Alexander was in Burlington Junction, Nodaway County, Missouri with his new wife, Maggie, and family. Two daughters, Mary and Taphena were living with their grandparents in South Fork Township, Wayne County, Iowa. Alexander was a wagonmaker.

Theresa A. Ewing

     Theresa A. Ewing also went by the name of Thirzy Ewing. She was born on 28 September 1843 at Wilkesville, Vinton Co., OH. She was the daughter of Andrew Ewing and Taphena Holcombe. Theresa A. Ewing married (?) Halleday circa 1865.1 Theresa A. Ewing married William P. Gilbert before 1880.1 Theresa A. Ewing died on 2 March 1911 at Baraboo, Sauk Co., WI, at age 67.1

In the 1880 census, Theresa and William were located in Civil Bend Township, Union County, Territory of Dakota. William was a farmer, and was listed as crippled or disabled. In 1900 they were living in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota.

Mary was born in Wilkesville, when it was still located in Gallia County, Ohio. In the 1860 census, Mary was 19 years old and at home in Summersett Township, Mercer County, Missouri.

The 1870 census located their son with his grandparents in Wayne County, Ohio. William could not be located. In the 1880 census William was found in Promise City, Iowa, a farmer, with his new family.

VICTORIAN D. LATIMER. "The subject of the following sketch was born in the
township where he now resides (Rock Creek, Ashtabula County) on the third day
of September, 1843. He is the fifth child of William and Corresta Reed Latmer, the
former of whom was born in Otis, Massachusetts, and the latter in Granby,
Connecticut. The family came to Ohio in 1818. The mother still resides there, the
father having died in 1870. Victorian D. received a fair academic education. He
was a member of the Eighty-seventh Regiment, Ohio Volunteers, and was taken
prisoner by the southern Confederacy, in Harper's Ferry, on September 18, 1862.
Returning after the expiration of his term of service, he engaged in the mercantile
business. In the year 1875 he erected the fine brick block where he now carries on
the drg and hardware trade.


He was united in marriage on October 4, 1864 to Esther, daughter of Baldwin and
Harriet Fitzgerald Morris. From this marriage have been born two children; these
are Lenah, born May 8, 1866, and Frank O., whose birth occurred April 16, 1868."
