Clifford Thomas Alderman died March 17, 2019 after a long struggle with complications from heart disease. Born on April 8, 1961 in Bristol, Connecticut, he lived in Unionville for most of his life. Cliff was the son of his late mother Beatrice Pearce Alderman and Truman E. Alderman. Cliff attended local schools and graduated from Farmington High School in 1979, and later received a degree from American University in Washington D.C. in 1983. Following graduation from American University, Cliff worked for various institutions in Washington D.C. which included The U.S. Department of the Interior and The White House. Cliff was especially proud of the work he did for the Interior Department on the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. Cliff would often write for The President when he spoke on matters concerning The U.S. Department of the Interior.
After returning to Connecticut in the early 1990's, Cliff received a Law Degree from the University of Connecticut Law School and later Cliff was employed by The Hartford Insurance Company.
For many years Cliff was a member of the Congregational Church in Burlington, where for a time he was the Clerk for the church. Cliff enjoyed gardening, stately architecture, classical music, and the beauty of nature. Cliff was a great caretaker of his parents. One of the things that Cliff loved to do was to take his mother for long rides in the country, which provided her great comfort in her later years. He was the author of many articles about local history, Cliff enjoyed making the history of the Farmington Valley come to life. Cliff gathered a large collection of Carte de Visite photos of Connecticut Veterans of the Civil War which he donated to the Connecticut Historical Society. Cliff was the author of The Images of America book, Unionville. One of the passions of Cliff's life was the Unionville Museum, where he served in many capacities, including President. Cliff was a special friend to cats and dogs, especially his beloved Airedale Terrier, Rosie.
He will live in the hearts and be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his father, Truman E. Alderman, Jr., and his brother, The Rev. Dr. Keith C. Alderman and his wife Penny of Westminster, MA, his uncle Tom and aunt Marilyn Pearce of Conklin, MI, and many cousins.

He lived in New Mexico throughout his childhood and graduated from high school in Albuquerque. He enlisted in the Marine Corps at the beginning of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He received numerous commendations, and left the military service with the rank of corporal. After the War, he settled in California, where he married Edna Reed on September 11, 1949. Mr. Moore was the founder and General Partner of Moore Truck Lines, which he ran until poor health forced him to retire in 2002. Mr. Moore was a member of Stockton Golf and Country Club for many years, and served on the Board of Directors. He was a member of the California Trucking Association.
Frank was known as "Jack" to family members and old friends.
Mr. Moore is survived by his loving wife, Edna Moore and his 4 children, Kathleen Hodges of Fresno, Marilyn Reinmenan of Stockton, Jennifer Moore of Lolo, Montana and Frank Moore, Jr. of Stockton. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Smith of Stockton, Margaret O'Day of San Francisco and his brother, Thomas Moore of Fresno. Mr. Moore had 7 grandchildren, William Mutch, IV, Stephanie Mutch, Bonnie Lasher, Mark Lasher, Lauren Moore, Adam Moore and Zachary Moore.
Frank Moore was a dynamic, inspiring and unforgettable man. His death is a great loss to us all. Friends are invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at Wallace-Martin Funeral Home, 520 N. Sutter St., Stockton between noon and 9:00 p.m. The graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Chester A. Case Jr., 97, of Avon, beloved husband of Denise L. (Olyphant) died peacefully at home on Thursday August 1, 2019. Born in Hartford, on May 29, 1922, the son of the late Chester A. Case Sr. and Lottie (Edgett) Case, he was raised in West Hartford and was a 1941 graduate of Hall High School. Chester went on to attend the University of New Hampshire and graduated from UCONN with a degree in Structural Engineering in 1947. Chester's career as an engineer began at Loomis & Loomis in Windsor and he retired from Wescott & Mapes in New Haven. He spent his free time volunteering as a boy scout leader and running a small family farmstead with his wife and children. Chester enjoyed square dancing, especially Contra dancing. Not only would he dance but often times Chester would call the dances. He also thoroughly enjoyed playing the fiddle and designing and drawing his own nostalgia picture books and Christmas cards. He was an avid reader and an eternally optimistic gardener. Chester was a longtime member of the Avon Congregational Church, where he was a deacon for many years. Chester is survived by his wife of 59 years, Denise L. Case of Avon, his daughter; Deborah C. Obrizzo and her husband Greg of Burlington, his sons; Gregory W. Case and his wife Chi Le of Santa Ana, CA and Rodney K. Case and his companion Deanna Keddy of Avon; his brother Kenneth E. Case and his wife Edith of Hartford; his four grandchildren; Amanda Obrizzo of Clinton, Nicole Shavers and her husband Matthew Shavers of Torrington, Amber Pellietier of Plainville and Rodney K. He was a member and past president of the Bristol Gem and Mineral Club. Ken was very proud of the bookmobile he refurbished and converted to a motorhome. He and Edythe took many trips all over North America in the big, green motorhome. He also enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Ken was a member of Canton Community Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir for over 40 years and served in several leadership positions. Ken is predeceased by his brother, Chester A.
