     Guy Truman Holcombe was born on 15 May 1889 at Milo, Waren Co., IA. He was the son of Dr. Guy Carleton Holcombe and Ethel Melvin Davis. Guy Truman Holcombe lived at Oxford, Chester Co., PA. He died on 1 October 1965 at Coatesville, Chester Co., PA, at age 76.

Guy graduated Medical-Surgical College of Philadelphia, 1911; Philadelphia General Hospital, 1911-13; Burgess of Oxford Borough, 1918-22, member Borad of Trustees, Eastern State Penitentiary of PA, 1927-31; enlisted in Medical Corps Div, 1917-18.

     Harold Davis Holcombe was born on 17 November 1890 at Ulster, Bradford Co., PA.² He was the son of Dr. Guy Carleton Holcombe and Ethel Melvin Davis. Harold Davis Holcombe died on 14 March 1944 at Sayre, Bradford Co., PA, at age 53.² He was buried at Ulster Cemetery, Ulster, Bradford Co., PA.²

Harold and Lucie D. were enumerated in the 1930 Athens, Bradford Co., PA, federal census. He was a trucking salesman for Internationa Harvester, age 39, she was 39. Children in the household were Lucile M. 13, Ethyl 6, and Janice 4 years 5 months.

     Ralph Carlton Holcombe was born on 17 November 1894.¹ He was the son of Dr. Guy Carleton Holcombe and Ethel Melvin Davis. Ralph Carlton Holcombe died in 1894.^2,1 He was buried at Ulster Cemetery, Ulster, Bradford Co., PA.¹

     Martha Louise Holcombe was born in 1895.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. Guy Carleton Holcombe and Ethel Melvin Davis. Martha Louise Holcombe died in 1897.^2,1 She was buried at Ulster Cemetery, Ulster, Bradford Co., PA.¹

     Dorothy Ethel Holcombe was born on 26 September 1898 at Milo, Waren Co., IA. She was the daughter of Dr. Guy Carleton Holcombe and Ethel Melvin Davis. Dorothy Ethel Holcombe lived at 42 Harvard Road, Brookline, Delaware Co., PA.

     Guy Truman Holcombe II was born on 27 June 1928 at Oxford, Chester Co., PA. He was the son of Guy Truman Holcombe and Jennie Moser Bagenstose. Guy Truman Holcombe II died on 15 July 2004 at Oxford, Chester Co., PA, at age 76.

Dr. Guy T. Holcombe Jr., 76, of Oxford, died on Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his home.

Born on June 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Dr. Guy T. Sr. and Jenie F. Moser Holcombe.

Dr. Holcombe practiced medicine in Oxford from 1958 until the time of his retirement in 1990. During that time, he delivered over 2,000 babies in the Oxford area.

He was a graduate of Oxford High School, Dickinson College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

He served as a physician in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1958, where he was detailed to the U.S. Marine Corps in Quantico, Va.

He was a member of the Chester County Medical Society and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

He served on the board of directors of the Industrial Valley Bank from 1964 to 1986 and on the board of directors of the Peoples Bank of Oxford from 1989 to 2000. He sat on the board of directors of the Oxford Cemetery Association from 2002 to 2004.

He was a member of Oxford Masonic Lodge #353, Harrisburg Consistory 32°, Zembo Shrine.

He was a life member of the Oxford Fire Company.

Dr. Holcombe was an avid hunter and fisherman and a longtime fan of the Baltimore Colts and Orioles.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Cochran Holcombe; three sons, Guy Holcombe III and his wife, Vicki, of Alexandria, Va., Curtis Holcombe and his wife, Lee, of Rising Sun, Md. and Chester Earhart and his wife, Ruth, of Quarryville; a daughter, Lynn Johnston and her husband, David, of New London; six grandchildren, Gammon, Justin, Joshua, Benjamin, Ellie and Rhianon; and one great- grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Grier.

At Dr. Holcombe's request, funeral services will be for family members only.

Interment will be private in the Oxford Cemetery.

     Ethel Louise Maryott was born on 16 January 1917. She was the daughter of Clifford R. Maryott and Frances Marguerite Holcombe. Ethel Louise Maryott died on 30 May 1922 at age 5.

     Joyce Ethel Holcombe was born on 13 March 1924. She was the daughter of Harold Davis Holcombe and Lucile Stottesby Drake. Joyce Ethel Holcombe married William Isaac May.² Joyce Ethel Holcombe died in May 1977 at Canonsburg, Washington Co., PA, at age 53.³ She was buried at Ulster Cemetery, Ulster, Bradford Co., PA.³

Joyce was in training as a nurse in Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, MD, in late 1943.

     Mary Dell Olmstead was born in 1855. She was the daughter of Ansel Olmstead and Mary Ellen Holcombe. Mary Dell Olmstead married Cornelius P. Garrison in 1873.

     Cornelius P. Garrison was born in 1849. He married Mary Dell Olmstead, daughter of Ansel Olmstead and Mary Ellen Holcombe, in 1873.

     Georgia Garrison was born at Ulster, Bradford Co., PA. She was the daughter of Cornelius P. Garrison and Mary Dell Olmstead.

     Olney Churchill was born in 1836. Olney Churchill was the child of Calvin W. Churchill and Lura Holcombe.

     Lutila Churchill was born on 7 November 1839 at Leroy, Bradford Co., PA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Calvin W. Churchill and Lura Holcombe. Lutila Churchill was also known as Lutilda Churchill. She married Hollis A. Holcombe, son of Seelye Holcombe and Julianna Wooster, on 22 October 1866. Lutila Churchill died on 3 April 1890 at PA at age 50.^1,2 She was buried at Leroy Cemetery, Leroy, Bradford Co., PA.²

     Martha Churchill was born in 1849. She was the daughter of Calvin W. Churchill and Lura Holcombe.
