     Abel Pettibone was born on 19 January 1772. He was the son of Abel Pettibone and Elizabeth Case. Abel Pettibone died on 2 January 1847 at age 74.

     Rosanna Pettibone was born on 22 November 1775. She was the daughter of Abel Pettibone and Elizabeth Case.

     Ezekiel Phelps was born on 8 May 1723 at Turkey Hills, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joseph Phelps and Rebecca North. Ezekiel Phelps married Elizabeth Gillette, daughter of Isaac Gillett and Elizabeth Griswold, on 3 May 1744. Ezekiel Phelps died on 29 July 1781 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 58.

     Elizabeth Gillette was born on 2 February 1727/28 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Isaac Gillett and Elizabeth Griswold. Elizabeth Gillette married Ezekiel Phelps, son of Joseph Phelps and Rebecca North, on 3 May 1744. Elizabeth Gillette died on 29 July 1781 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 53.

     Mehitabel Case was born on 13 November 1741. She was the daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey.

     Isaac Case Jr. was born on 19 May 1743 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey. Isaac Case Jr. married Dorcas Moses, daughter of Timothy Moses and Sarah Phelps. Isaac Case Jr. married Sarah (?) Isaac Case Jr. married Dorothy Lamb Woodbridge, daughter of Haynes Woodbridge and Elizabeth Griswold.³ Isaac Case Jr. married Elizabeth Case, daughter of Joel Case and Thankful Hoskins. Isaac Case Jr. died on 20 April 1813 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 69. He was buried at Hopmeadow Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Bathsheba Case was born on 1 January 1744/45. She was the daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey. Bathsheba Case died on 13 October 1751 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 6.¹

     Oliver Case was born on 13 May 1749 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joshua Case Jr. and Lydia Griswold. Oliver Case married Elizabeth Case, daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey. Oliver Case died in October 1776 at Camp near NY at age 27.

     Elizabeth Case was born on 19 September 1747. She was the daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey. Elizabeth Case married Oliver Case, son of Joshua Case Jr. and Lydia Griswold. Elizabeth Case died on 13 July 1772 at age 24.

     Marcy Case was born on 23 December 1749. She was the daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey.

     Cleopatra Case was born on 29 July 1764 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Case and Bathsheba Humphrey.

     Caroline Ellsworth was born on 13 March 1748. She was the daughter of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Caroline Ellsworth married Caleb Hendee in 1767. Caroline Ellsworth died in 1791.

     Tryphena Ellsworth was born on 11 August 1750. She was the daughter of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Tryphena Ellsworth died in September 1751 at age 1.

     Samuel moved to Pittsford, Vermont. Bowman does not indicate which of his two wives bore his children. Samuel Ellsworth III was born on 21 September 1752. He was the son of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Samuel Ellsworth III married Irene Parsons, daughter of Aaron Parsons. Samuel Ellsworth III married Elizabeth Ashley. Samuel Ellsworth III died in 1819.

     Capt. Israel Ellsworth was also known as Israel Holliday. He was born on 11 April 1755 at West Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Capt. Israel Ellsworth married Hopestill Stevens, daughter of Benjamn Stevens and Hopestill Shaw, in 1777 at Rutland, VT. Capt. Israel Ellsworth died in 1834 at Fairfax Co, VA.

Israel lived in Connecticut, Vermont, and Fairfax County, Virginia. He served with the Green Mountain Boys of Vermont in the Revolutionary War. He went to Virginia around 1790, from Bradford County, Pa. He also lived in Charlestown, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Fairfax, Virginia.

Israel then deserted his first wife, went by the moniker "Israel Ellsworth Holliday", including filing his Revolutionary War Pension application under this name, on 15 Oct 1832.

     Daniel Ellsworth was born on 10 July 1757. He was the son of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Daniel Ellsworth married Mary Abbott, daughter of Joseph Abbott and Mary Bingham.

     Betsey Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Mary Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Moved to Hancock, Vt. William Ellsworth was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Charles Ellsworth was born on 25 February 1758 at East Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell. Charles Ellsworth married Sarah Hall. Charles Ellsworth died on 10 November 1813 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA, at age 55.²

Charles served as a private in the Connecticut militia. Moved to Pennsylvania.

     Eleanor Ellsworth was born in 1763. She was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Eliphalet Ellsworth was the child of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Calvin moved to Ohio. Calvin Ellsworth was born on 9 February 1770. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell. Calvin Ellsworth died in 1838.

     Roxana Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell.

     Ezekiel Ellsworth was born on 5 November 1780. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell. Ezekiel Ellsworth died on 4 October 1854 at Northampton, MA, at age 73.

     Son Allen was the son of Moses Allen and Mary Ellsworth.

     Son Munsell was the son of Thomas Munsell and Mary Ellsworth.

     Albert Ellsworth was the son of William Ellsworth. Living in Hancock, Vt., 1859.

     Sarah Hall married Charles Ellsworth, son of Charles Ellsworth and Betsy Bell. Sarah Hall died in April 1838 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA.¹

     McPherson questions Oliver's marriage and death dates. Apparently Mary's father Samuel moved to Orwell, Bradford Co., PA and Oliver went also between 1819 and 1821 and the last three children were born there.

DAR Record 41429 incorrectly assigns Oliver's father as Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth. Oliver Ellsworth II was born in 1787 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall. Oliver Ellsworth II married Mary Keith, daughter of Samuel Keith, in 1808. Oliver Ellsworth II died in 1860.

     Charles Ellsworth was born at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Eliphalet Ellsworth was born on 4 September 1791 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall. Eliphalet Ellsworth married Bethia Thatcher, daughter of John Thatcher and Sarah Richardson, on 6 November 1814 at Susquehanna City, PA.² Eliphalet Ellsworth died on 9 September 1846 at South Ottawa, La Salle Co., IL, at age 55.² He was buried at Vermillionville Cemetery (now Deer Park), Deer Park, La Salle Co., IL.²

Eliphalet was drafted but was never called into service during the War of 1812. They lived in Harford, PA, and he removed in October 1837 to South Ottawa, La Salle Co., IL, and in the follwing spring sent for his family; they traveled by covered wagon and arrived 19 June 1838 and settled on Section 31. Among Bethiah's children who accompanied her were William Anson Ellsworth, her second son and her daughters, Betsey Bailey, Almira, Nancy Ann and Clarissa. Her oldest son Philander Ellsworth and wife Henrietta, traveled in anther wagon. Nancy died 10 days after arriving in Illinois. ²

     Henry Ellsworth was born in 1793 at Susquehanna Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall. Henry Ellsworth married Lucy Price Van Winkle.¹ Henry Ellsworth died on 13 October 1853 at Susquehanna Co., PA.¹

Henry and Lucy were enumerated in the 1830 Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA, federal census. He was a farmer, age 54, she was 53. Children in the household were Austin 21, Angelina 18, Charles 16, Adeline 12, Willard 10, and Eleazer 25.

     Austin Ellsworth was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Betsey Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Philena Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Duana Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Roxana Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Pamelia Ellsworth was the daughter of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall.

     Sarah A. Elizabeth Graham was born say 1815 at GA. She married William Pindar Holcombe, son of Grove Catlin Holcombe and Aurelia Holcombe, on 16 October 1834 at Dahlonega, Lumpkin Co., GA. Sarah A. Elizabeth Graham died in January 1860 at GA.

     Aurelia Holcombe was born on 5 February 1840 at Lexington, Oglethorpe Co., GA. She was the daughter of William Pindar Holcombe and Sarah A. Elizabeth Graham. Aurelia Holcombe died on 3 May 1912 at Burke Co., GA, at age 72.

     Either, William Jr. or his father enlisted Sept 29, 1861 as a private in Co. E. 38th Ga Confederate Vol. Inf., Wright's Legion. Discharged August 8, 1862, but it is most likely that this enlistment was for William Sr.

However, there was an enlistment of W. P. Holcombe in the 40th Georgia Infantry, that may be for William Jr. W.P. Holcombe Sept 1, 1862, as a private, in Norton, GA, and was assigned to company I or J. The muster roll for November and December 1862 says that W.P. "left sick in Vicksburg, Mississippi." Film series M266, roll 448.

William Pindar Holcombe II was the son of William Pindar Holcombe and Sarah A. Elizabeth Graham.
