Isaac Case Jr. married Dorothy Lamb Woodbridge, daughter of Haynes Woodbridge and Elizabeth Griswold.3 Isaac Case Jr. married Elizabeth Case, daughter of Joel Case and Thankful Hoskins. Isaac Case Jr. died on 20 April 1813 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 69. He was buried at Hopmeadow Cemetery, Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

Capt. Israel Ellsworth1

b. 11 April 1755, d. 1834
     Capt. Israel Ellsworth was also known as Israel Holliday. He was born on 11 April 1755 at West Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.2 He was the son of Samuel Ellsworth II and Amee Holiday. Capt. Israel Ellsworth married Hopestill Stevens, daughter of Benjamn Stevens and Hopestill Shaw, in 1777 at Rutland, VT. Capt. Israel Ellsworth died in 1834 at Fairfax Co, VA.

Israel lived in Connecticut, Vermont, and Fairfax County, Virginia. He served with the Green Mountain Boys of Vermont in the Revolutionary War. He went to Virginia around 1790, from Bradford County, Pa. He also lived in Charlestown, Maryland, Washington, DC, and Fairfax, Virginia.

Israel then deserted his first wife, went by the moniker "Israel Ellsworth Holliday", including filing his Revolutionary War Pension application under this name, on 15 Oct 1832.

Oliver Ellsworth II1,2

b. 1787, d. 1860
     McPherson questions Oliver's marriage and death dates. Apparently Mary's father Samuel moved to Orwell, Bradford Co., PA and Oliver went also between 1819 and 1821 and the last three children were born there.

DAR Record 41429 incorrectly assigns Oliver's father as Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth. Oliver Ellsworth II was born in 1787 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall. Oliver Ellsworth II married Mary Keith, daughter of Samuel Keith, in 1808. Oliver Ellsworth II died in 1860.

Eliphalet Ellsworth1

b. 4 September 1791, d. 9 September 1846
     Eliphalet Ellsworth was born on 4 September 1791 at Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA. He was the son of Charles Ellsworth and Sarah Hall. Eliphalet Ellsworth married Bethia Thatcher, daughter of John Thatcher and Sarah Richardson, on 6 November 1814 at Susquehanna City, PA.2 Eliphalet Ellsworth died on 9 September 1846 at South Ottawa, La Salle Co., IL, at age 55.2 He was buried at Vermillionville Cemetery (now Deer Park), Deer Park, La Salle Co., IL.2

Eliphalet was drafted but was never called into service during the War of 1812. They lived in Harford, PA, and he removed in October 1837 to South Ottawa, La Salle Co., IL, and in the follwing spring sent for his family; they traveled by covered wagon and arrived 19 June 1838 and settled on Section 31. Among Bethiah's children who accompanied her were William Anson Ellsworth, her second son and her daughters, Betsey Bailey, Almira, Nancy Ann and Clarissa. Her oldest son Philander Ellsworth and wife Henrietta, traveled in anther wagon. Nancy died 10 days after arriving in Illinois. 2

Henry and Lucy were enumerated in the 1830 Harford, Susquehanna Co., PA, federal census. He was a farmer, age 54, she was 53. Children in the household were Austin 21, Angelina 18, Charles 16, Adeline 12, Willard 10, and Eleazer 25.

William Pindar Holcombe II1

     Either, William Jr. or his father enlisted Sept 29, 1861 as a private in Co. E. 38th Ga Confederate Vol. Inf., Wright's Legion. Discharged August 8, 1862, but it is most likely that this enlistment was for William Sr.

However, there was an enlistment of W. P. Holcombe in the 40th Georgia Infantry, that may be for William Jr. W.P. Holcombe Sept 1, 1862, as a private, in Norton, GA, and was assigned to company I or J. The muster roll for November and December 1862 says that W.P. "left sick in Vicksburg, Mississippi." Film series M266, roll 448.

William Pindar Holcombe II was the son of William Pindar Holcombe and Sarah A. Elizabeth Graham.
