She was born in Lewiston, ME, and was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Boston, MA. She was also a member of the OES, ADAH Chapter, Unionville. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Grace Twible of Unionville; three grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Duane Holcomb. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 28, 1 p.m., at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

She m. 1817, Ezra Mack, of Barkhamsted, Conn., and they removed to Batavia, N.Y., purchased a farm, which they soon sold, and then kept hotel for seven years, after which they again purchased a farm, and resumed the pursuit of agriculture and shoemaking. In 1835 they removed to Ohio, taking a steamboat at Buffalo with the intention of landing at Conneaut; but high winds compelled them to go to Fairport, where they landed all right. The captain proposed to send them back to Conneaut by the first steamer, but having had plenty of lake travel, they declined, and proceeded to Williamsfield, Ashtabula Co., some fifty miles distant. They settled in the eastern part of the town, and spent their lives there.
