     Don Collister was born on 21 March 1889 at Madison, Lake Co., OH. He was the son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets. Don Collister married Lucille Blanchard, daughter of Charles Elton Blanchard and Helen Spencer, on 17 October 1914.

     Lucille Blanchard was born on 3 July 1894 at Austinburg, OH. She was the daughter of Charles Elton Blanchard and Helen Spencer. Lucille Blanchard married Don Collister, son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets, on 17 October 1914.

     Viets was a veteran of World War I and served in France. He left a widow and a young son, Viets James Collister, who, in February 2000, lives in Surprise, AZ. Viets Collister was born on 31 May 1894. He was the son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets.

     E. Howard Collister was born on 10 July 1896. He was the son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets. E. Howard Collister died on 2 August 1896.

     Hiram A. Collister was born on 16 June 1898 at Madison, Lake Co., OH. He was the son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets.

     Francis Collister was born on 20 October 1901 at Madison, Lake Co., OH. He was the son of John T. Collister and Jessie M. Viets.

     John E. Kent was born on 16 March 1870 at Madison, Lake Co., OH. He was the son of John Kent and Lorania Burdick. John E. Kent married Mabel Tacy Viets, daughter of Shalor Nelson Viets and Catharine Gillett, on 14 March 1889. John E. Kent died on 19 August 1897 at Madison, Lake Co., OH, at age 27.

     Maybelle E. Kent was born on 11 October 1891. She was the daughter of John E. Kent and Mabel Tacy Viets. Maybelle E. Kent married William Moore, son of Mark Moore and Susan Wilson, on 5 August 1915.

     William Moore was born on 7 September 1893 at Winchester, KY. He was the son of Mark Moore and Susan Wilson. William Moore married Maybelle E. Kent, daughter of John E. Kent and Mabel Tacy Viets, on 5 August 1915.

     Nellie Marie Kent was born on 8 April 1897. She was the daughter of John E. Kent and Mabel Tacy Viets. Nellie Marie Kent died on 15 October 1921 at age 24.

     Eugene Prouty was born on 10 December 1872 at Mentor, Lake Co., OH. He was the son of Royal Prouty and Mary Crawford. Eugene Prouty married Kathleen L. Viets, daughter of Shalor Nelson Viets and Catharine Gillett, on 18 April 1894 at Madison, Lake Co., OH. Eugene Prouty died in April 1943 at Bradenton, FL, at age 70.

     Eugene Royal Prouty was born on 8 February 1896 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH. He was the son of Eugene Prouty and Kathleen L. Viets. Eugene Royal Prouty died on 7 November 1931 at age 35.

     Irene Mendlinger was born on 14 July 1896 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL. She was the daughter of William Mendlinger and Fannie Pulitzer.

     Helen J. Fitch was born on 20 February 1857 at Girard, OH. She was the daughter of Charles L. Fitch and Eliza Hedglin. Helen J. Fitch married Dudley Leroy Viets, son of Drayton Viets and Caroline Segar, on 15 March 1882. Helen J. Fitch died on 19 October 1932 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH, at age 75.

     Charles L. Fitch married Eliza Hedglin.

     Eliza Hedglin married Charles L. Fitch.

     Drayton Viets was born on 13 June 1804 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Abner Viets Jr. and Sarah Booth. Drayton Viets married Caroline Segar on 27 November 1827. Drayton Viets died on 19 June 1868 at Trumbull Co., OH, at age 64.

     Caroline Segar was born on 26 April 1806. She married Drayton Viets, son of Abner Viets Jr. and Sarah Booth, on 27 November 1827. Caroline Segar died on 8 January 1881 at age 74.

     Abner Viets Jr. was born on 28 June 1772 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Capt. Abner Viets and Mary Viets. Abner Viets Jr. married Sarah Booth. Abner Viets Jr. died on 18 November 1825 at age 53.²

     Sarah Booth married Abner Viets Jr., son of Capt. Abner Viets and Mary Viets. Sarah Booth died on 26 May 1837.¹ She was buried at Fowler, Trumbull Co., OH.

     Arthur W. Viets was born on 1 January 1873 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Dudley Leroy Viets and Emma Jane Holcombe. Arthur W. Viets married Anna Belle Sarver, daughter of John Sarver and Katherine Kent. Arthur W. Viets died on 22 December 1928 at McKeesport, PA, at age 55.

     Will and Ruth had no children. William W. Viets was born on 11 July 1875 at Trumbull Co., OH. He was the son of Dudley Leroy Viets and Emma Jane Holcombe. William W. Viets died in August 1922 at age 47. He was buried at Center Cemetery, Fowler, Trumbull Co., OH.

     Adelaide Griffin was born in 1851. She was the daughter of Milton Griffin and Adeline Holcombe. Adelaide Griffin married Walter Dwight Viets, son of Dan Alexander Viets and Caroline Phelps. Adelaide Griffin died on 12 June 1896.

     Walter Dwight Viets was born in 1848 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Dan Alexander Viets and Caroline Phelps. Walter Dwight Viets married Adelaide Griffin, daughter of Milton Griffin and Adeline Holcombe. Walter Dwight Viets died on 23 December 1879.

Walter kept the hotel in East Granby for some years and operated the stage route between that town and Hartford. he was afterwards a traveling salesman.²

     Dan Alexander Viets was born on 11 November 1824 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Dan Viets and Beula Phelps. Dan Alexander Viets married Caroline Phelps, daughter of Orson Phelps. Dan Alexander Viets married Sarah Jane Phelon on 2 February 1852. Dan Alexander Viets married Mary Jane Getman on 15 August 1859 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. Dan Alexander Viets married Alice Julia Atwood on 22 November 1884. Dan Alexander Viets died on 8 November 1904 at age 79. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Caroline Phelps was born circa 1825.¹ She was the daughter of Orson Phelps. Caroline Phelps married Dan Alexander Viets, son of Dan Viets and Beula Phelps.

     Caroline Augusta Viets was born on 25 April 1869 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Walter Dwight Viets and Adelaide Griffin. Caroline Augusta Viets married Frederick Percy Damon, son of Austin Damon and Lauretta Jane Wright, on 24 May 1892. Caroline Augusta Viets died on 28 November 1953 at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA, at age 84.

     Ralph Waldo Viets was born on 2 October 1878 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Walter Dwight Viets and Adelaide Griffin. Ralph Waldo Viets married Mae (?) Ralph Waldo Viets died on 13 October 1941 at Detroit, Wayne Co., MI, at age 63.² He was buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Wayne Co., MI.²

     Wilbur Sylvester Holcombe was born on 24 April 1848 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Sylvester Holcombe and Sarah Lucinda Hoskins. Wilbur Sylvester Holcombe married Ida Ester Griffin, daughter of Apollos P. Griffin and Martha Ann Viets, in March 1873. Wilbur Sylvester Holcombe died on 13 July 1922 at the Masonic Home, Wallingford, New Haven Co., CT, at age 74.²

From the Courant 14 July 1922:

Wilbur S. Holcomb died in the Masonic Home at Wallingford early this morning after an illness of two years. He was a native of Granby and had lived in Simsbury many rears. He was 74 years old. He leaves a brother, Allan J. Holcomb of this town and a daughter, Mrs. Charles W. Eddy of Thomaston. He was a veteran Mason and one of the oldest members of St. Mark’s Lodge. Masonic services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Simsbury Cemetery.

     Ida Ester Griffin was born on 28 March 1855 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Apollos P. Griffin and Martha Ann Viets. Ida Ester Griffin married Wilbur Sylvester Holcombe, son of Sylvester Holcombe and Sarah Lucinda Hoskins, in March 1873. Ida Ester Griffin died on 12 April 1879 at age 24.

     Apollos P. Griffin was born on 28 June 1821. He was the son of Zopher Griffin and Margery Trumbull. Apollos P. Griffin married Martha Ann Viets, daughter of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps, on 6 May 1846.

     Martha Ann Viets was born on 17 September 1824 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Gervase Viets and Esther Phelps. Martha Ann Viets married Apollos P. Griffin, son of Zopher Griffin and Margery Trumbull, on 6 May 1846. Martha Ann Viets died on 12 September 1889 at age 64.

     Gervase Viets was born on 4 February 1800 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Luke Viets Jr. and Abigail Phelps. Gervase Viets married Esther Phelps, daughter of Shubael Phelps and Ziba Griffin, on 26 November 1823.² Gervase Viets died on 15 March 1839 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 39.² He was buried at Copper Hill Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Esther Phelps was born on 19 December 1802. She was the daughter of Shubael Phelps and Ziba Griffin.² Esther Phelps married Gervase Viets, son of Luke Viets Jr. and Abigail Phelps, on 26 November 1823.³ Esther Phelps died on 29 June 1864 at age 61. She was buried at Copper Hill Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³

     Ziba Griffin was born in 1765. She married Shubael Phelps, son of Elijah Phelps and Esther Kent.¹ Ziba Griffin died on 9 March 1837. She was buried at Copper Hill Cemetery, East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.
