     Asenath Humphrey was born in April 1746.¹ She was the daughter of Col. Jonathan Humphrey and Desire Owen. Asenath Humphrey married Major Elihu Humphrey, son of Esquire John Humphrey and Lydia Reed, on 7 April 1763 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Asenath Humphrey died on 11 April 1779.¹

     Dorcas Humphrey was born on 15 August 1760.¹ She was the daughter of Benajah Humphrey and Caroline Humphrey.² Dorcas Humphrey married Giles Case, son of Capt. John Case and Sarah Barber.¹

     Benajah Humphrey was born on 22 July 1728 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Sergeant Benajah Humphrey and Thankful Hoskins. Benajah Humphrey married Caroline Humphrey, daughter of Charles Humphrey and Hepzibah Pettibone, on 9 February 1748/49. Benajah Humphrey died on 8 August 1761 at age 33.¹

     Caroline Humphrey was born on 25 February 1731/32 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Charles Humphrey and Hepzibah Pettibone. Caroline Humphrey married Benajah Humphrey, son of Sergeant Benajah Humphrey and Thankful Hoskins, on 9 February 1748/49. Caroline Humphrey married Sylvanus Case, son of Sgt. Richard Case and Mercy Holcombe. Caroline Humphrey died on 19 January 1771 at age 38.

     James Humphrey was born on 5 November 1796 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Levi Humphrey and Abigail Case.² James Humphrey married Roxelana North in May 1819 at Torrington, Litchfield Co., CT. James Humphrey died on 23 December 1855 at Winsted, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 59.¹

     Roxelana North was born say 1796. She married James Humphrey, son of Levi Humphrey and Abigail Case, in May 1819 at Torrington, Litchfield Co., CT. Roxelana North died in November 1835.

     Levi Humphrey was born on 9 July 1768 at Goshen, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Ashbel Humphrey and Lois Caldwell. Levi Humphrey married Abigail Case, daughter of Noah Case Jr. and Mary Adams, on 8 September 1790 at West Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² Levi Humphrey died in February 1852 at Norfolk, Litchfield Co., CT, at age 83.¹

     Lois Caldwell married Ashbel Humphrey, son of Ensign Samuel Humphrey and Mary Orton, on 16 December 1761. Lois Caldwell died on 13 July 1771.

     Jonathan Humphrey was born on 2 December 1688 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Lt. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Mills. Jonathan Humphrey married Mercy Ruggles, daughter of Rev. Benjamin Ruggles and Mercy Woodbridge, on 30 June 1714. Jonathan Humphrey died on 14 June 1749 at age 60.¹

     Mercy Ruggles was born say 1698. She was the daughter of Rev. Benjamin Ruggles and Mercy Woodbridge. Mercy Ruggles married Jonathan Humphrey, son of Lt. Samuel Humphrey and Mary Mills, on 30 June 1714. Mercy Ruggles died on 10 November 1761.

     Desire Owen was born on 26 February 1718. She was the daughter of Sergt. John Owen and Hannah Marshall. Desire Owen married Col. Jonathan Humphrey, son of Jonathan Humphrey and Mercy Ruggles, on 11 January 1738/39. Desire Owen died on 26 May 1774 at age 56.

     Elisha Humphrey was born on 19 November 1733.¹ He was the son of Sergeant Benajah Humphrey and Thankful Hoskins. Elisha Humphrey married Lydia Humphrey, daughter of Esquire John Humphrey and Lydia Reed.¹ Elisha Humphrey died on 30 June 1815 at age 81.¹

     Lydia Humphrey was born on 22 September 1740.¹ She was the daughter of Esquire John Humphrey and Lydia Reed. Lydia Humphrey married Elisha Humphrey, son of Sergeant Benajah Humphrey and Thankful Hoskins.¹ Lydia Humphrey died on 12 February 1826 at age 85.

     George Humphrey was born on 14 April 1816 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Lyman Humphrey and Hannah Francis.² George Humphrey married Sophronia Hamblin on 11 September 1837 at Avon, Hartford Co., CT.

     Sophronia Hamblin was born on 22 July 1818 at Becket, Berkshire Co., MA. She married George Humphrey, son of Lyman Humphrey and Hannah Francis, on 11 September 1837 at Avon, Hartford Co., CT.

     Lyman Humphrey was born on 22 February 1792 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Lot Humphrey and Chloe Moses.² Lyman Humphrey married Hannah Francis on 1 January 1812.

     Hannah Francis was born on 23 January 1794. She married Lyman Humphrey, son of Lot Humphrey and Chloe Moses, on 1 January 1812.

     Lot Humphrey was born circa 1764 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Abraham Humphrey and Lois Merrills.² Lot Humphrey married Chloe Moses, daughter of Michael Moses and Thankful Case, on 1 December 1784.¹ Lot Humphrey died on 8 January 1835 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.

Lot entered the Patriot Army, in the American Revolution, when sixteen years old, with many other lads of about the same age. He witnessed the hanging of Major Andre. He treasured many reminiscences of the war to the end of his live, and used to mention the care manifested by General Washington towards his youthful and inexperienced soldiers, in cautioning them not to expose themselves to capture by crossing the lines, and in similar personal intercourse and expressions of interest in them and their welfare.

Lot was mentioned in the will of his grandmother Hepzibah Humphrey.

     Chloe Moses was born on 1 November 1767. She was the daughter of Michael Moses and Thankful Case. Chloe Moses married Lot Humphrey, son of Abraham Humphrey and Lois Merrills, on 1 December 1784.¹ Chloe Moses died on 5 May 1829 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT, at age 61.¹

     Rev. Samuel Stebbins witnessed the baptism of Pliny Humphrey on 24 June 1780 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Rev. Samuel Stebbins witnessed the marriage of Hannah Francis and Lyman Humphrey on 1 January 1812.

     Abraham Humphrey was born on 6 June 1740 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Charles Humphrey and Hepzibah Pettibone. Abraham Humphrey married Lois Merrills.¹ Abraham Humphrey died in 1767.¹

     Michael Humphrey was born on 13 May 1736.¹ He was the son of Deacon Michael Humphrey and Mercy Humphrey. Michael Humphrey died in 1809.¹

     Benajah Humphrey was born on 4 December 1805 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Dositheus Humphrey and Lovisa Terry. Benajah Humphrey married Olive Goodwin, daughter of Hezekiah Goodwin and Hannah Kingsbury, on 4 May 1831 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Benajah Humphrey died on 20 March 1882 at age 76.¹

     Olive Goodwin was born on 15 April 1811 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Hezekiah Goodwin and Hannah Kingsbury. Olive Goodwin married Benajah Humphrey, son of Dositheus Humphrey and Lovisa Terry, on 4 May 1831 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Hon. Oliver Humphrey was born on 13 April 1720 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Jonathan Humphrey and Mercy Ruggles. Hon. Oliver Humphrey married Sarah Garrett on 28 January 1744/45 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Hon. Oliver Humphrey died on 30 October 1792 at age 72.¹

     Sarah Garrett was born in 1723.¹ She married Hon. Oliver Humphrey, son of Jonathan Humphrey and Mercy Ruggles, on 28 January 1744/45 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Sarah Garrett died on 8 November 1821.¹

     Col. Jonathan Humphrey was born on 19 August 1743 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Col. Jonathan Humphrey and Desire Owen. Col. Jonathan Humphrey married Lydia Griswold Phelps on 31 October 1781.¹ Col. Jonathan Humphrey died on 19 March 1812 at age 68.¹

     Lydia Griswold Phelps was born on 25 February 1764.¹ She married Col. Jonathan Humphrey, son of Col. Jonathan Humphrey and Desire Owen, on 31 October 1781.¹ Lydia Griswold Phelps died on 26 July 1828 at age 64.¹

     Maria Humphrey was born on 11 April 1738. She was the daughter of Charles Humphrey and Hepzibah Pettibone. Maria Humphrey married Lieutenant Nathaniel Humphrey, son of Esquire John Humphrey and Lydia Reed, on 2 January 1755. Maria Humphrey died on 12 May 1759 at age 21.

     Dr. Philander Humphrey was born on 23 June 1770 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Hon. Daniel Humphrey and Rachel Phelps. Dr. Philander Humphrey died on 9 February 1823 at age 52.

     Luther Humphrey was born on 22 March 1835 at Hartland, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Dr. Phelps Humphrey and Maria Holcombe.¹ Luther Humphrey married Elizabeth Southard on 23 November 1865 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. Luther Humphrey died on 10 March 1881 at Toledo, OH, at age 45.¹

     Elizabeth Southard was born in 1842. She married Luther Humphrey, son of Dr. Phelps Humphrey and Maria Holcombe, on 23 November 1865 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH.

     Helen Maria Humphrey was born on 24 February 1837 at Hartland, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Dr. Phelps Humphrey and Maria Holcombe.¹ Helen Maria Humphrey married John Augustus Waring, son of William Beetson Waring and Jane Howard, on 30 November 1871 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. Helen Maria Humphrey was buried on 20 March 1890 at Forest Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas Co., OH; Section 17, Grave 5, Lot 1.

     John Augustus Waring was born circa 1842 at Sacketts Harbor, Jefferson Co., NY.^1,2 He was the son of William Beetson Waring and Jane Howard. John Augustus Waring married Helen Maria Humphrey, daughter of Dr. Phelps Humphrey and Maria Holcombe, on 30 November 1871 at Toledo, Lucas Co., OH. John Augustus Waring died on 17 November 1894 at Lucas Co., OH; Brights Disease.¹ He was buried on 20 November 1894 at Forest Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas Co., OH; Section 17, Grave 4, Lot 1.
