     Patience Lenity Segar was born in 1807. She married Uriah Shaw, son of Ebenezer Shaw and Cynthia Holcombe, on 19 January 1832 at Sheshequin, PA.¹ Patience Lenity Segar died in 1900.

     Hiram Z. Shaw was born in 1848. He was the son of Uriah Shaw and Patience Lenity Segar. Hiram Z. Shaw married Kate B. Dettra in 1871.

Hiram and Kate were enumerated in the 1880 Ulster, Bradford Co., PA, federal census. He was a RR Agent, age 31, she was 27. Children in the household were Millie age 8, Charles age 6.

     Kate B. Dettra was born in 1853. She married Hiram Z. Shaw, son of Uriah Shaw and Patience Lenity Segar, in 1871. Kate B. Dettra died in 1910.

     Mildred Shaw was born circa 1872 at Milan, PA.² She was the daughter of Hiram Z. Shaw and Kate B. Dettra.

     O. Llewellyn Smiley married Lizzie B. (?) in 1883. O. Llewellyn Smiley was born in 1856. He was the son of David Smiley and Phoebe Ann Holcombe.

     Lizzie B. (?) married O. Llewellyn Smiley, son of David Smiley and Phoebe Ann Holcombe, in 1883. Lizzie B. (?) was born in 1865.

     Edna M. Smiley was born at West Franklin, PA. She was the daughter of O. Llewellyn Smiley and Lizzie B. (?)

     Lucretia Pace was born in 1851. She was the daughter of William Pace and Lovinia Castle. Lucretia Pace married John Odgen in 1873.

     John Odgen was born in 1844. He married Lucretia Pace, daughter of William Pace and Lovinia Castle, in 1873.

     Grace B. Odgen was born at Galesville, WI. She was the daughter of John Odgen and Lucretia Pace.

     Mary and Polly are probably the same person, DAR records show Mary's birth as 1794; Bowman shows 1791. DAR Record 101931. Mary Dyer was born in 1794. She was the daughter of Joseph Dyer and Eunice Holcombe. Mary Dyer married Ephraim Gillette in 1809. Mary Dyer died in 1879.

     Edward Hill Stuntz was born in 1851. He was the son of Stephen Stuntz and Mary Boyle. Edward Hill Stuntz married Maria A. Collins, daughter of James D. Collins and Mary A. Webster, in 1874. Edward Hill Stuntz died in 1911.

     Maria A. Collins was born in 1854. She was the daughter of James D. Collins and Mary A. Webster. Maria A. Collins married Edward Hill Stuntz, son of Stephen Stuntz and Mary Boyle, in 1874.

     Joel Phelps Jr. was born on 26 January 1783 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joel Phelps Duplicate and Susannah Holcombe. Joel Phelps Jr. died on 17 December 1851 at Guilford, Chenango Co., NY, at age 68.

     Henry E. Merwin was born on 27 May 1849 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Henry Platt Merwin and Julia Matilda Holcombe. Henry E. Merwin married Louisa Smith in 1877. Henry E. Merwin died in 1910.

     Louisa Smith was born in 1853. She married Henry E. Merwin, son of Henry Platt Merwin and Julia Matilda Holcombe, in 1877. Louisa Smith died in 1900.

     Dora Dean Merwin was born at Castleton, NY. She was the daughter of Henry E. Merwin and Louisa Smith.

     Edward Boynton was born in 1838. He married Ida De Ette Paine, daughter of Harmon Paine and Clarinda Van Horn, in 1868. Edward Boynton died in 1908.

     Clarinda Van Horn was born in 1824. She was the daughter of Philip Van Horn and Margaret Ackler. Clarinda Van Horn married Harmon Paine in 1842. Clarinda Van Horn died in 1898.

     Philip Van Horn was born in 1784. He was the son of Thomas Van Horn. Philip Van Horn married Margaret Ackler. Philip Van Horn died in 1846.

     Margaret Ackler was born in 1787. She married Philip Van Horn, son of Thomas Van Horn. Margaret Ackler died in 1844.

     Thomas was placed on the pension roll of Otsego County, NY, 1832, for service as private and sergeant, New York militia. Thomas Van Horn was born in 1745 at Hunterdon Co., NY. He died in 1841.

     Sophia Lankton was born in 1786. She was the daughter of James Lankton and Tirzah Catlin. Sophia Lankton married Sylvanus Butler in 1806. Sophia Lankton died in 1874.

     Sylvanus Butler was born in 1784. He married Sophia Lankton, daughter of James Lankton and Tirzah Catlin, in 1806. Sylvanus Butler died in 1831.

     Lewis Lankton Butler was born in 1811. He was the son of Sylvanus Butler and Sophia Lankton. Lewis Lankton Butler married Pearly Ann Brace in 1851. Lewis Lankton Butler died in 1891.

     Pearly Ann Brace was born in 1824. She married Lewis Lankton Butler, son of Sylvanus Butler and Sophia Lankton, in 1851. Pearly Ann Brace died in 1903.

     Emily Janett Butler was born at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Lewis Lankton Butler and Pearly Ann Brace. Emily Janett Butler married Daniel Loyal Barber, son of Loyal Rossiter Barber and Lucretia Buell, on 24 June 1878 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT.

     Daniel Loyal Barber was born on 19 March 1855. He was the son of Loyal Rossiter Barber and Lucretia Buell. Daniel Loyal Barber married Emily Janett Butler, daughter of Lewis Lankton Butler and Pearly Ann Brace, on 24 June 1878 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT. Daniel Loyal Barber died on 26 May 1932 at age 77.

     Samuel A. Hoppin was born in 1755. He married Elizabeth Curtis in 1781. Samuel A. Hoppin died in 1800.

     Elizabeth Curtis was born in 1758. She married Samuel A. Hoppin in 1781. Elizabeth Curtis died in 1789.

     John Phelps was born on 20 September 1703 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joseph Phelps Sr. and Sarah Hosford. John Phelps married Anna Hosford, daughter of Obadiah Hosford and Mndwell Phelps, on 11 February 1725. John Phelps died on 10 February 1769 at Hebron, Tolland Co., CT, at age 65.

Phelps and Servin and Henry Stiles state that John had a second wife named Mindwell, but, Anna's deed of 20 Feb. 1773 states, "I Anna Phelps, of Hebron . . . quit-claim unto Gamalel Little of Lebanon . . . land & buildings that was let out to my daughter Sarah (Phelps) Little of said Lebanon out of the estate of my beloved husband John Phelps. Anna lived until after 1773 and her sister Mindwell married Morris Tillotson on 16 sep. 1742. ²

     Anna Hosford was born on 23 February 1705 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Obadiah Hosford and Mndwell Phelps. Anna Hosford married John Phelps, son of Joseph Phelps Sr. and Sarah Hosford, on 11 February 1725. Anna Hosford died in 1740 at Hebron, Tolland Co., CT.

     Mindwell Hosford was the daughter of Obadiah Hosford and Mndwell Phelps. Mindwell Hosford married Morris Tillotson on 16 September 1742.¹

     Sgt. John Phelps married Deborah Dewey. Sgt. John Phelps was born on 27 September 1730 at Hebron, Tolland Co., CT. He was the son of John Phelps and Anna Hosford.

     Deborah Dewey married Sgt. John Phelps, son of John Phelps and Anna Hosford.

     Nathan Phelps Sr. was the son of Sgt. John Phelps and Deborah Dewey. Nathan Phelps Sr. married Abigail Fuller.¹
