     Susannah Merrill married Capt. Dudley Case, son of Lt. Dudley Case and Dorcas Humphrey. Susannah Merrill died on 12 August 1810.

     Benjamin Mills was born in 1759 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Benjamin Mills and Hannah Humphrey. Benjamin Mills married Dorcas Case, daughter of Lt. Dudley Case and Dorcas Humphrey, at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. Benjamin Mills died in 1787.

     Benjamin Mills was born on 23 December 1694. He was the son of John Mills and Sarah Pettibone.

     Noadiah Woodruff was born on 2 November 1760 at Farmington, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Judah Woodruff and Eunice Judd. Noadiah Woodruff married Sarah Holly. Noadiah Woodruff married Dorcas Case, daughter of Lt. Dudley Case and Dorcas Humphrey, on 28 March 1789.

     Sarah Holly was born in 1764. She married Noadiah Woodruff, son of Judah Woodruff and Eunice Judd. Sarah Holly died on 16 June 1787.

     Sarah Woodruff was born on 18 February 1807. She was the daughter of Noadiah Woodruff and Dorcas Case. Sarah Woodruff died in 1887.

     Eunice Judd Woodruff was born on 27 September 1811. She was the daughter of Noadiah Woodruff and Dorcas Case. Eunice Judd Woodruff died on 25 September 1844 at age 32.

     Zacheus Case was born between 1756 and 1757. He was the son of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Zacheus Case died young.

     Thede Case was born in 1766. She was the daughter of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Thede Case married Benajah Humphrey, son of Lieutenant Charles Humphrey and Sarah Humphrey. Thede Case married Asa Case, son of Hosea Case and Mary Case. Thede Case died on 15 April 1851.

     Benajah Humphrey was born in 1759 at West Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Lieutenant Charles Humphrey and Sarah Humphrey. Benajah Humphrey married Thede Case, daughter of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Benajah Humphrey died on 17 September 1803.

Commissioners were appointed to divide the estate between Charles Humphrey and the heirs of Benajah Humphrey; -- Daniel Humphrey was one oe the commissioners. Charles Humphrey and Thede Humphrey, widow of the deceased, were guardians of the children, and the latter was administratrix. the inventory was taken Oct. 6th, 1803; amount £793-16-5. The guardians to the heirs signed the division with the commissioners June 18th, 1804.²

     Elkaniah Mills married Rhoda Case, daughter of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Elkaniah Mills was born on 28 June 1765. He was the son of Benjamin Mills and Hannah Humphrey. Elkaniah Mills died on 11 May 1847 at age 81.

     Rhoda Case married Elkaniah Mills, son of Benjamin Mills and Hannah Humphrey. Rhoda Case was born in 1768. She was the daughter of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Rhoda Case died in 1798.

     Ruth Case was born in 1770. She was the daughter of Capt. Zaccheus Case and Abigail Barber. Ruth Case died in 1809.

     Lucy Case was born between 17 February 1754 and 1755 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish. Lucy Case married Solomon Humphrey Jr., son of Solomon Humphrey and Naomi Higley, in 1772 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. Lucy Case died in 1777.

     Solomon Humphrey Jr. was born on 2 August 1753. He was the son of Solomon Humphrey and Naomi Higley. Solomon Humphrey Jr. married Lucy Case, daughter of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish, in 1772 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. Solomon Humphrey Jr. married Hannah Brown in June 1778. Solomon Humphrey Jr. died on 24 December 1834 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 81.

Solomon settled in West Simsbury, Ct., where he resided till 1785, when he removed to that part of Bristol which is now included in Burlington, Ct., and there remained till 1813. In that year, he went to reside in Barkhmasted, Ct., where he passed the remainder of his life, dying in that town, ae. 81 years. He was a Revolutionary soldier, and drew a pension. He was a man of sterling character and deep piety. His grandson, Judge Heman Humphrey Barbour, writes concerning him: "I remember very clearly his pleasant and sedate countenance, and his easy dignity, urbanity and quietness of manners. He was a natural gentleman."

Notwithstanding great adversity of circumstances and limited opportunities, through their zeal for the education of their children, Mr. Humphrey and his wife secured for them very good,early, religious and scholastic acquirements, and laid the foundation for that love for learning and devotion to usefulness, and for the eminence and distinction in their descendants, to which the Christian civilization of our land is so much indebted.¹

     Hannah Brown was born on 24 December 1759. She married Solomon Humphrey Jr., son of Solomon Humphrey and Naomi Higley, in June 1778. Hannah Brown died on 20 April 1825 at age 65.

     Horace Humphrey was born on 2 August 1773. He was the son of Solomon Humphrey Jr. and Lucy Case. Horace Humphrey died in October 1855 at age 82.

     Solomon Humphrey was born on 23 September 1775. He was the son of Solomon Humphrey Jr. and Lucy Case. Solomon Humphrey died in February 1835 at age 59.

     Ruth Duncan tells an interesting story:

"Was in the American Army in 1776, but deserted to British Army; was sentenced to death but was reprieved and pardoned by the interposition of Elisha Cornish Sr. In 1793, he was brought to capital trial for killing a child of Mr. Ackley of Bloomfield but was acquitted of murder on the ground of insanity." Ezekiel Case II was born on 15 April 1756 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish.

     Charles Loomis was born on 8 February 1718 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Stephen Loomis and Mabel Hoskins. Charles Loomis died after 1768 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Seth Loomis was born on 12 July 1721 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Stephen Loomis and Mabel Hoskins. Seth Loomis married Esther Kelsey, daughter of John Kelsey and Mary Buck, on 1 March 1747 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Seth Loomis died after 1756 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Esther Kelsey was born on 22 May 1725 at Wethersfield, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of John Kelsey and Mary Buck. Esther Kelsey married Seth Loomis, son of Stephen Loomis and Mabel Hoskins, on 1 March 1747 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Eliphalet Loomis was born on 25 January 1729/30 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Stephen Loomis and Mabel Hoskins. Eliphalet Loomis died in 1761 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT.

     Violet Case was born on 27 April 1758 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish. Violet Case married Asa Gillett, son of Jacob Gillett, on 1 February 1778 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.

     Asa Gillett was the son of Jacob Gillett. Asa Gillett married Violet Case, daughter of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish, on 1 February 1778 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT.

     Lydia Phelps was born on 10 September 1728 at Turkey Hills, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Phelps and Rebecca North.¹ Lydia Phelps married Jacob Gillett, son of Isaac Gillett and Elizabeth Griswold, on 15 December 1744.^2,3

     Violet Gillett was the daughter of Asa Gillett and Violet Case. Violet Gillett was baptized on 19 July 1778.

     Frederick Gillett was the son of Asa Gillett and Violet Case. Frederick Gillett was baptized on 2 April 1780.

     Asa Gillett was the son of Asa Gillett and Violet Case. Asa Gillett was baptized on 25 August 1782.

     James Gillett was born in 1784. He was the son of Asa Gillett and Violet Case. James Gillett was baptized on 27 June 1785 at Bloomfield, Hartford Co., CT. He married Violet Case, daughter of Benajah Case and Anna Moses, at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. James Gillett died on 20 February 1852 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.

     Violet Case was born on 24 March 1789 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Benajah Case and Anna Moses. Violet Case married James Gillett, son of Asa Gillett and Violet Case, at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Violet Case died on 23 January 1867 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT, at age 77.

     Frederick Case was born on 22 September 1761 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish. Frederick Case died on 26 July 1776 at Camp, NY, at age 14.

     Rachel Case was born on 25 July 1766 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish.

     Benoni Case was born on 11 December 1769 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish.

     Corrections to the original Case book by Ruth Cost Duncan were in a letter from her. Abijah Case was born on 15 October 1763 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ezekiel Case and Lucy Cornish. Abijah Case married Thankful Cowles, daughter of Samuel Cowles. Abijah Case died on 10 June 1821 at Fairfield, VT, at age 57.
