     Bartholomew Ward was born in 1810.¹ He was the son of Thomas Ward and Sarah Alderman.¹

     Mary Ensign was baptized on 7 July 1751 at Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of John Ensign and Mary Sedgwick. Mary Ensign married Abraham Bushnell on 9 January 1770.¹ Mary Ensign died on 19 November 1837 at age 86.¹ She was buried at Starksboro, Addison Co., VT.¹

     Samuel Darrow Holcombe was born on 1 June 1807 at Canaan, Litchfield Co., CT.⁴ He was the son of Solomon Holcombe and Mary Bushnell. Samuel Darrow Holcombe married Mary Husted on 24 December 1828.⁴ Samuel Darrow Holcombe married Cynthia Husted on 2 January 1838. Samuel Darrow Holcombe died on 28 February 1880 at age 72.⁴

     DAR records and McPherson differ on date of death. Cynthia Husted was born on 20 February 1820. She married Samuel Darrow Holcombe, son of Solomon Holcombe and Mary Bushnell, on 2 January 1838. Cynthia Husted died on 5 January 1905 at age 84.

     Wilbur Samuel Holcombe was also known as Samuel Wilbur Holcombe. He was born on 10 May 1840.³ He was the son of Samuel Darrow Holcombe and Cynthia Husted. Wilbur Samuel Holcombe married Mary Livermore on 25 February 1867. Wilbur Samuel Holcombe died on 16 December 1916 at age 76.

     Mary Livermore was born on 25 February 1845. She married Wilbur Samuel Holcombe, son of Samuel Darrow Holcombe and Cynthia Husted, on 25 February 1867. Mary Livermore died on 30 December 1936 at age 91.

     Ella Mary Holcombe was born on 27 January 1872 at Addison Co., VT.² She was the daughter of Wilbur Samuel Holcombe and Mary Livermore. Ella Mary Holcombe was a member in 1909 at DAR; 73619, Washington, DC. She lived in 1943 at 58 Monroe St., Burlington, VT.

     Jerusha Dibble was born on 25 January 1727. She was the daughter of Abraham Dibble and Dorothy Hayes. Jerusha Dibble married Capt. Jonathan Buttolph, son of Dr. Jonathan Buttolph and Martha Holcombe, on 3 July 1746 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. Jerusha Dibble died on 21 July 1798 at age 71.

     Infant Ward died in 1812.¹ Infant Ward was born in 1812.¹ Infant Ward was the child of Thomas Ward and Sarah Alderman.¹

     Anson Noadiah Holcombe was born on 27 December 1792.³ He was the son of Noadiah Norman Holcombe and Affiah Buttolph. Anson Noadiah Holcombe married Harriet Maria Street, daughter of Ebenezer Street and Rebecca Bradley, on 17 July 1826. Anson Noadiah Holcombe died on 11 May 1863 at age 70; jaundice.³ He was buried at West Granby Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.³

Seaver, Kuhns, and McPherson call him Anson Noadiah and Bowman calls him Noadiah Anson.

He is recorded as Anson N. in the 1850 Granby census as a farmer, age 57, owning real estate, $4,000. Harriet is 43, Mary age 27, Harris 20, Edward 12, Estella 6, and Helen 4.

     Harriet Maria Street was born on 30 July 1807 at New Haven, New Haven Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Ebenezer Street and Rebecca Bradley. Harriet Maria Street married Anson Noadiah Holcombe, son of Noadiah Norman Holcombe and Affiah Buttolph, on 17 July 1826. Harriet Maria Street died on 31 August 1885 at age 78.¹ She was buried at West Granby Cemetery, Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Rebecca Bradley was born on 16 November 1771. She died on 31 March 1817 at age 45.

     Edward Holcombe was born on 7 May 1838 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Anson Noadiah Holcombe and Harriet Maria Street. Edward Holcombe married Ruth Emorette Case, daughter of Everett Case and Emily Hoskins, on 29 November 1865 at North Canton, Hartford Co., CT. Edward Holcombe died on 29 October 1880 at age 42.²

Edward and Emorette were enumerated in the 1880 Granby, Hartford Co., CT, census with children Mary L., Eliza J., and Amie I. Also enumerated were his mother Harriet, a boarder, Charles Wheeler, and his nephew, Alton Holcombe Fancher.

The West Granby Sexton's Record says he was moved; there is no stone. ³

     Ruth Emorette Case was also known as Emorette Case. She was born on 19 July 1841 at West Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Everett Case and Emily Hoskins. Ruth Emorette Case married Edward Holcombe, son of Anson Noadiah Holcombe and Harriet Maria Street, on 29 November 1865 at North Canton, Hartford Co., CT. Ruth Emorette Case married Dr. Erastus Eli Case, son of Norton Case and Eliza Case, on 24 February 1886 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT. Ruth Emorette Case died on 26 December 1940 at West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 99. She was buried on 28 December 1940 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.

Ruth was recorded in the 1900 Windsor census, sheet 301B, with Erastus, her two daughters Lizzie and Amy, from her first marriage, and Helen and Everett Case. Jennie must have died before 1900 as a child under 10 would surely still be in the family and she is not listed here. Emorette Case was enumerated n the 1940 West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, federal census. She was 98 and her two daughters were also in the household, Amy and Mary Holcomb.

Emmorett H. Case was enumerated in the 1930 West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, federal census district 228. She was 88. Daughters Mary 63 and Amy 58 were also in the household.

From the Hartford Courant, 27 Dec 1940, page 5:

Mrs. Emorette Holcomb Case, 99, of 84 Washington Circle, West Hartford, widow of Dr. Erastus E. Case, died Thursday evening at her home after a short illness. She was born in West Granby, July 10, 1841, daugher of the late Everett and Emily Hoskins Case, and was of Colonial ancestry. She leaves two daughtes, Miss Mary I. Holcomb and Miss Amy I. Holcomb; a son, Everett E. Case, all of West Hartford, three step-children and several grandchildren. She was a member to the Mt. Holyoke Club of Hartford and the First Congregational Church of Windsor. The funeral will be held at the James t. Pratt Company Chapel, 71 Farmingto Avenue, Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Roscoe Nelson, pastor emeritus of the First Congregationnal Church of Windsor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

     Everett Case was born on 14 March 1812 at West Granby, Granby, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Noah Case and Olive Case. Everett Case married Emily Hoskins, daughter of Lyman Hoskins and Ruth Holcombe, on 22 November 1836 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. Everett Case died on 12 November 1906 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 94.

     Emily Hoskins was born on 4 January 1818 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. She was the daughter of Lyman Hoskins and Ruth Holcombe. Emily Hoskins married Everett Case, son of Noah Case and Olive Case, on 22 November 1836 at Barkhamsted, Litchfield Co., CT. Emily Hoskins died on 14 December 1896 at Canton, Hartford Co., CT, at age 78.

     Amy Imogen Holcombe was born on 20 April 1872. She was the daughter of Edward Holcombe and Ruth Emorette Case. Amy Imogen Holcombe died on 13 March 1958 at West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 85. She was buried on 15 March 1958 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.

     Benoni Gillett was born on 23 July 1760 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Zaccheus Gillett and Ruth Phelps. Benoni Gillett married Phoebe Dean, daughter of (?) Dean and Widow Sarah Dean, on 16 October 1783. Benoni Gillett died on 6 June 1844 at age 83.

     Phoebe Dean was born in 1767. She was the daughter of (?) Dean and Widow Sarah Dean.¹ Phoebe Dean married Benoni Gillett, son of Zaccheus Gillett and Ruth Phelps, on 16 October 1783.

     Capt. Eliphaz Gillett was born on 1 June 1788. He was the son of Benoni Gillett and Phoebe Dean. Capt. Eliphaz Gillett married Amarilla Sanford on 10 November 1813.

     Amarilla Sanford was born on 10 December 1793. She married Capt. Eliphaz Gillett, son of Benoni Gillett and Phoebe Dean, on 10 November 1813.

     John Dean Gillett was born on 28 April 1819. He was the son of Capt. Eliphaz Gillett and Amarilla Sanford. John Dean Gillett married Lemira Parke on 31 March 1842.

     Lemira Parke was born on 3 February 1821. She married John Dean Gillett, son of Capt. Eliphaz Gillett and Amarilla Sanford, on 31 March 1842.

     Charlotte Lancraft Gillett was born on 28 October 1865. She was the daughter of John Dean Gillett and Lemira Parke. Charlotte Lancraft Gillett married William Barnes Dr. on 18 June 1891.

     William Barnes Dr. was born on 3 September 1860. He married Charlotte Lancraft Gillett, daughter of John Dean Gillett and Lemira Parke, on 18 June 1891.

     Joan Dean Gillett Barnes was born on 28 April 1892. She was the daughter of William Barnes Dr. and Charlotte Lancraft Gillett.

     John Ellsworth married Ruth Stoughton, daughter of Col. Lemuel Stoughton and Ann Ellsworth. John Ellsworth was born in 1773. He was the son of Lt. Solomon Ellsworth and Mary Moseley. John Ellsworth died in 1823.

     Ruth Stoughton married John Ellsworth, son of Lt. Solomon Ellsworth and Mary Moseley. Ruth Stoughton was born in 1776. She was the daughter of Col. Lemuel Stoughton and Ann Ellsworth. Ruth Stoughton died in 1859.

     Abigail Sage Ellsworth was born in 1810. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth and Ruth Stoughton. Abigail Sage Ellsworth married Job Shepherd. Abigail Sage Ellsworth died in 1853.

     Job Shepherd was born in 1801. He married Abigail Sage Ellsworth, daughter of John Ellsworth and Ruth Stoughton. Job Shepherd died in 1855.

     Henry Martyn Shepard Judge was born in 1839. He was the son of Job Shepherd and Abigail Sage Ellsworth. Henry Martyn Shepard Judge married Frances Welles Stuart on 5 August 1868. Henry Martyn Shepard Judge died in 1904.

     Frances Welles Stuart was born in 1849. She married Henry Martyn Shepard Judge, son of Job Shepherd and Abigail Sage Ellsworth, on 5 August 1868. Frances Welles Stuart died in 1932.

     Solomon Williams lived at Manchester, Hartford Co., CT. He was born in 1782. He was the son of Thomas Williams Dr. and Rebecca Wells. Solomon Williams married Martha Baker in 1806. Solomon Williams died in 1874.

     Martha Baker was born in 1786. She married Solomon Williams, son of Thomas Williams Dr. and Rebecca Wells, in 1806.

     He established the firm of J. B. Williams & Co., manufacturers of shaving soap. James Baker Williams was born in 1818. He was the son of Solomon Williams and Martha Baker. James Baker Williams married Jerusha Hubbard in 1845. James Baker Williams died in 1907.

     Jerusha Hubbard was born in 1824. She married James Baker Williams, son of Solomon Williams and Martha Baker, in 1845. Jerusha Hubbard died in 1866.
