     Rev. Timothy Edwards was born on 14 May 1669. He was the son of Richard Edwards and Elizabeth Tuthill (Tuttle). Rev. Timothy Edwards was graduated in 1691 at Harvard. He married Esther Stoddard, daughter of Solomon Stoddard and Hester Warham, on 6 November 1694. Rev. Timothy Edwards died on 27 January 1758 at age 88.

First pastor of East Windsor. He had a local reputation as a Hebrew Scholar and even as a poet, and amassed a considerable library that his children used freely.3

     It appears by a journal kept by him, that he was on an expedition for the Governor on the Mississippi River in 1774-5, and for his services was granted a tract of land where the city of Natchez now stands. Capt. John Ellsworth was born on 24 August 1735 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Ellsworth II and Anne Edwards. Capt. John Ellsworth married Sarah Clark on 25 November 1761. Capt. John Ellsworth married Martha Elton on 23 January 1772. Capt. John Ellsworth died on 14 February 1779 at age 43.

John Ellsworth, son of John Ellsworth II and Anne Edwards, on 25 November 1761. Sarah Clark died on 14 March 1770 at age 29.

Daniel Ellsworth1,2

     Daniel moved in 1795 to Erie, Pa., when there were only 15 white families there, with a garrison to protect them, his store being the first frame building in the place. He brought his family there in 1797, the journey, made on pack-hourses, taking several weeks, and three children soon died. He was the first white man buried in Erie. His wife, a noble, energetic, Christian woman, returned to her father's home in Ell. in the fall of the same year, leaving Presque Isle (now Erie, PA) 15th Oct; she reached Ell. in 51 days hard travel, on 7 Dec 1798; she resided with her father 2 years before marrying a second time. Daniel Ellsworth was born in December 1753. He was the son of Daniel Ellsworth and Mary McKinsey. Daniel Ellsworth married Mary Abbot, daughter of Capt. Joseph Abbot and Elizabeth Stedman, on 2 December 1784. Daniel Ellsworth died on 3 March 1798 at age 44.
