Israel was a Deputy to the General Court in October 1716 (Col Rec iv, 572), and September 1726, on a commission for the draining of wet lands on the West side of the Great River (Col Rec, vii,53).

The children are listed in EATS and Stiles and in his 1736 probate record. Israel Stoughton was born on 21 August 1667. He was the son of Thomas Stoughton and Mary Wadsworth. Israel Stoughton married Mary Birge, daughter of Daniel Birge and Deborah Holcombe, on 7 May 1713. Israel Stoughton died on 10 September 1736 or 17 1736. He left a will on 20 June 1755 at Decatur Co., IN.

     Thomas Stoughton was born in 1624 at England.² He was the son of Thomas Stoughton and Elizabeth Montpesan.² Thomas Stoughton married Mary Wadsworth on 30 November 1655 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.² Thomas Stoughton died on 15 September 1684 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Mary Wadsworth was born in 1632 at England.¹ She married Thomas Stoughton, son of Thomas Stoughton and Elizabeth Montpesan, on 30 November 1655 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Mary Wadsworth died on 8 February 1711/12 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Israel Stoughton was born in 1714. He was the son of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Bowman lists a possible marriage to William Gaylord. Mary Stoughton was born in 1714. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Elizabeth Stoughton was born in 1717. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Ann (Hannah) Stoughton was born on 3 June 1719. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge. Ann (Hannah) Stoughton married Samuel Filer, son of Zerubbabel Filer and (?) Unknown, on 11 October 1739. Ann (Hannah) Stoughton died on 1 December 1784 at age 65.

Stiles and Bowman call her Hannah, Dwight calls her Ann.

     Rebecca Stoughton was born on 10 March 1720. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Bowman questions a marriage in 1743 to Roger Bissell referenced in Stiles, probably because Stiles shows Sarah as a daughter of John Stoughton on pages 81 and 729. Sarah Stoughton was born in 1724. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge. Sarah Stoughton died in 1755.

     Lucie Stoughton was born in 1727. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Jemima Stoughton was born in 1729. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Abigal Stoughton was born in 1731. She was the daughter of Israel Stoughton and Mary Birge.

     Della Coleman was born in July 1889 at IA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Augustine Coleman and Ester M. Holcombe.¹ Della Coleman died in 1957 at IA.¹

     Alma Coleman was born in 1886 at Charter Oak, Crawford Co., IA.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Augustine Coleman and Ester M. Holcombe.¹ Alma Coleman died in 1908 at Stewartsville, MO.¹

     James Spencer married Esther Birge, daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis, in 1751.

     Ebenezer Moore was the son of John Moore and Abigail Strong. There is some confusion about the Ebenezer Moores.

Ruth Cost Duncan shows Ebenezer Moore, son of William Moore and Elizabeth Case was born 20 April 1722 and married Tabitha Phelps on 21 Nov. 1739 and does not mention Tabitha's parents.

Bowman shows Ebenezer Moore, son of John Moore and Abigail Strong was born in 1697 married Esther Birge; but she also shows a Ebenezer Moore marryng Tabitha Phelps, daughter of Samuel Phelps and Abaigail Eno, who was born in 1721, died 1749. Ebenezer Moore married Esther Birge, daughter of Daniel Birge and Abigail Gillett, in 1733.

     Pelitiah Moore died in 1736. She was born in 1736. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Moore and Esther Birge.

     Esther Moore was the daughter of Ebenezer Moore and Esther Birge.

     Tabitha Phelps was the daughter of Lt. Samuel Phelps and Abigail Eno. Tabitha Phelps married Ebenezer Moore, son of William Moore and Elizabeth Case.

     Ebenezer Moore was born in 1755. He was the son of Ebenezer Moore and Tabitha Phelps. Ebenezer Moore died in 1825.

     Hannah Fox married Thomas Loomis, son of Joseph Loomis and Mary White, on 1 November 1653 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Hannah Fox died on 25 April 1662.

     Mary Judd was born circa 1645.² She was the daughter of Thomas Judd. Mary Judd married Thomas Loomis, son of Joseph Loomis and Mary White, on 1 January 1662/63 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.^3,2 Mary Judd died on 8 August 1684.

     Thomas Loomis was born on 29 October 1654 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Fox. Thomas Loomis died in 1654 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Thomas Loomis was born on 17 March 1655 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Fox. Thomas Loomis married Hannah Porter, daughter of John Porter II and Mary Stanley, on 17 December 1682. Thomas Loomis died on 19 April 1746 at age 91.

     Hannah Porter was born on 1 January 1662 or 1663. She was the daughter of John Porter II and Mary Stanley. Hannah Porter married Thomas Loomis, son of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Fox, on 17 December 1682. Hannah Porter died on 1 January 1738 or 1739.

     Sarah Loomis was born on 22 January 1694. She was the daughter of Thomas Loomis and Hannah Porter. Sarah Loomis married Cornelius Birge, son of Daniel Birge and Abigail Gillett, on 8 February 1723. Sarah Loomis died in 1776.

     John Grant was born on 3 March 1691 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Grant and Elizabeth Skinner. John Grant married Mary Chapman, daughter of Henry Chapman and Hannah Grant, on 11 November 1714 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. John Grant died on 16 January 1771 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 79.

     There is apparently a typo in Styles, he says she died in 1672 (before she was born) at are 70, so death must have been in 1772. Mary Chapman was born on 15 February 1692 or 1693 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Henry Chapman and Hannah Grant. Mary Chapman married John Grant, son of John Grant and Elizabeth Skinner, on 11 November 1714 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Mary Chapman died on 12 October 1772 at Pekin, IL.

     Henry Chapman was born on 4 July 1663 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Edward Chapman and Elizabeth Fox. Henry Chapman married Hannah Grant, daughter of Tahan Grant and Hannah Palmer, on 11 May 1692.

     Capt. Matthew Grant was born on 27 June 1723 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of John Grant and Mary Chapman. Capt. Matthew Grant married Hannah Birge, daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis, on 2 February 1749. Capt. Matthew Grant died on 28 June 1800 at age 77.

     Hannah Birge was born in 1727 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis. Hannah Birge married Capt. Matthew Grant, son of John Grant and Mary Chapman, on 2 February 1749.

     Justus Grant was born on 17 August 1751 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Lucina Grant was born in 1755 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Elijah Grant was born in 1759 at Iriquois, Kingsbury Co., SD. He was the son of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Lusina Grant was born abouit 1762 at Iriquois, Kingsbury Co., SD. She was the daughter of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Oliver Grant was born circa 1765 at Iriquois, Kingsbury Co., SD. He was the son of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Esther Grant was born circa 1768 at Iriquois, Kingsbury Co., SD. She was the daughter of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Miriam Grant was born at Iriquois, Kingsbury Co., SD. She was the daughter of Capt. Matthew Grant and Hannah Birge.

     Sarah Birge married John Sweetland. Sarah Birge was born in 1723. She was the daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis.

     John Sweetland married Sarah Birge, daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis. John Sweetland lived at Albuquerque, NM.

     Isaac Birge was born in 1725. He was the son of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis. Isaac Birge died in 1762.

     Bowman shows a questionable marriage to John Swetland of Bolton, CT, which is too similar to her sister Sarah's marriage to John Sweetland of Bolton, CT. Abigal Birge was born in 1731. She was the daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis.

     Moved to Wyoming Valley, PA - Birge pg. 113. Esther Birge was born in 1731. She was the daughter of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis. Esther Birge married James Spencer in 1751. Esther Birge died in 1831.

     Jonathan Birge was born in 1734. He was the son of Cornelius Birge and Sarah Loomis. Jonathan Birge died in 1776.

     Christian (?) married Thomas Holcombe, son of Capt. Thomas Holcombe and Elizabeth Terry, after 1764.¹ Christian (?) died on 28 March 1764.²
