     Hannah Stoughton was born on 6 August 1705. She was the daughter of John Stoughton and Sarah Fitch. Hannah Stoughton married Giles Ellsworth, son of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant, on 6 February 1728.² Hannah Stoughton died on 29 December 1756 at age 51.

     John Stoughton was born on 20 June 1657 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Thomas Stoughton and Mary Wadsworth. John Stoughton married Elizabeth Bissell, daughter of Quartermaster Thomas Bissell and Abigail Moore, on 24 August 1682 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. John Stoughton married Sarah Fitch, daughter of Capt. Joseph Fitch and Mary Stone, on 23 January 1689 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. John Stoughton died on 24 May 1712 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 54.

     Sarah Fitch was born circa 1670. She was the daughter of Capt. Joseph Fitch and Mary Stone.¹ Sarah Fitch married John Stoughton, son of Thomas Stoughton and Mary Wadsworth, on 23 January 1689 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Sarah Fitch married Capt. Joseph Drake, son of John Drake and Hannah Moore, after September 1717. Sarah Fitch died on 7 January 1746.²

     Abigail Moore was born at Dorchester, Suffolk Co., MA. She was the daughter of Deacon John Moore. Abigail Moore married Quartermaster Thomas Bissell, son of Capt. John Bissell and Mary Drake, on 11 October 1655 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Abigail Moore died on 4 May 1689 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She married William Stratton on 17 January 1704/5.

     Deacon John Moore married Abigail Phinney. Deacon John Moore married Abigail (?) on 16 June 1639.

     Elizabeth Bissell was born on 9 June 1666 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Quartermaster Thomas Bissell and Abigail Moore. Elizabeth Bissell married John Stoughton, son of Thomas Stoughton and Mary Wadsworth, on 24 August 1682 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Elizabeth Bissell died on 17 July 1688 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 22.

     Mary Ellsworth was born on 1 March 1706 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant. Mary Ellsworth married Ensign Isaac Owen, son of Isaac Owen and Sarah Holcombe. Mary Ellsworth died in 1778.

     Ensign Isaac Owen was born on 7 November 1702.¹ He was the son of Isaac Owen and Sarah Holcombe. Ensign Isaac Owen married Mary Ellsworth, daughter of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant. Ensign Isaac Owen died on 3 January 1775 at age 72.¹

     Esther Ellsworth was born on 9 March 1708 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant.

     David Ellsworth was born on 3 August 1709 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ He was the son of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant. David Ellsworth married Jemima Levett, daughter of Joshua Levett and Hannah Devotion, on 8 July 1740. David Ellsworth died on 5 March 1782 at age 72.

Commanded a company of Ct. men at the seige of Louisburg; was a selectman many years.

     Jemima Levett was born on 9 July 1721. She was the daughter of Joshua Levett and Hannah Devotion. Jemima Levett married David Ellsworth, son of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant, on 8 July 1740. Jemima Levett married Capt. Ebenezer Grant, son of Samuel Grant Jr. and Grace Minor, on 4 June 1784. Jemima Levett died on 1 February 1790 at age 68.

     Hannah Ellsworth was born on 10 September 1713 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² She was the daughter of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant. Hannah Ellsworth married Alexander Allyn III, son of Alexander Allyn Jr. and Hannah Marshall, on 28 April 1743. Hannah Ellsworth died on 7 December 1796 at age 83.

     Jonathan Ellsworth was born on 22 August 1716 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ He was the son of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant. Jonathan Ellsworth married Abigail Allyn, daughter of Alexander Allyn Jr. and Hannah Marshall, on 8 September 1738 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Jonathan Ellsworth died on 12 April 1775 at age 58.

     Abigail Allyn was born on 28 August 1721 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Alexander Allyn Jr. and Hannah Marshall.² Abigail Allyn married Jonathan Ellsworth, son of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant, on 8 September 1738 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Abigail Allyn died on 25 January 1801 at age 79.

     Ann Ellsworth was born on 12 August 1719 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Jonathan Ellsworth and Sarah Grant.

     Esther White was born in 1671. She was the daughter of Lt. Daniel White and Sarah Crow. Esther White married John Ellsworth, son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe, on 9 December 1696. Esther White died on 7 September 1766.

     Lt. Daniel White was the son of John White and Mary Levett. Lt. Daniel White married Sarah Crow, daughter of John Crow and Elizabeth Goodwin.

     Sarah Crow was the daughter of John Crow and Elizabeth Goodwin. Sarah Crow married Lt. Daniel White, son of John White and Mary Levett.

     Nathaniel Stoughton was born on 23 June 1702. He was the son of John Stoughton and Sarah Fitch. Nathaniel Stoughton married Martha Ellsworth, daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White, in 1729. Nathaniel Stoughton left a will on 13 June 1753.

     Capt. Ebenezer Grant was born on 20 October 1706 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Grant Jr. and Grace Minor. Capt. Ebenezer Grant was graduated at Yale, New Haven, New Haven Co., CT. He married Ann Ellsworth, daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White, on 10 November 1737. Capt. Ebenezer Grant married Jemima Levett, daughter of Joshua Levett and Hannah Devotion, on 4 June 1784.

Inheriting from his father only about £100, he acquired by his own industry a handsome estate, and was esteemed as one of the best farmers in Windsor. "He had much cunning, or quick wit, and very sound judgment; was a selectman for nealry all his active life, and commanded a company of Conn. men at the Siege of Louisburg, hence his title of Captain."

He became one of the Connecticut Valley's "merchant-oligarchs". He was part owner of several vessels and shipped horses, tobacco, bricks, and other products to the West Indies in exchange for sugar and rum. He also conducted trade with merchants in Boston and New York, selling luxury items from those ports at the shop adjacent to his home at East Windsor Hill in today's South Windsor.

He served on the Committee of Correspondence of East Windsor; the British General Prescott was confined under guard at his house.

Bowman shows him as a child of Hannah (Anna) Filley and Samuel Grant, however, Stiles shows that she died in 1686 and Ebenezer was born 1706, so must be son of Samuel's second wife Grace Minor.

He and anne are buried n the Edwards Cemetery (God's Acre) in what is now South Windsor.

     Tradition says he served in the Indian Wars. John Ellsworth II was born on 7 November 1697. He was the son of John Ellsworth and Esther White. John Ellsworth II married Anne Edwards, daughter of Rev. Timothy Edwards and Esther Stoddard, on 8 May 1734. John Ellsworth II died on 4 January 1784 at age 86.

     Anne Edwards was born on 28 April 1699. She was the daughter of Rev. Timothy Edwards and Esther Stoddard. Anne Edwards married John Ellsworth II, son of John Ellsworth and Esther White, on 8 May 1734. Anne Edwards died on 11 April 1790 at age 90.

     Settled at Ellington, CT, on his father's homestead; ws the first captain of Ellington militia, and the ancestor fo the Bloomington, IL, Ellsworths. Daniel Ellsworth Capt. married Mindwell (?) Daniel Ellsworth Capt. was born on 20 March 1699 or 1700. He was the son of John Ellsworth and Esther White. Daniel Ellsworth Capt. died on 27 January 1782.

     Mindwell (?) married Daniel Ellsworth Capt., son of John Ellsworth and Esther White. Mindwell (?) was born in 1700. She died on 22 November 1787.

     Bowman cites Barbour's famileis of Early Hartford Ct. and Spear for the list of children. Esther Ellsworth was born on 9 March 1703. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White. Esther Ellsworth married Capt Samuel Wells, son of Samuel Wells and Ruth Judson, in 1722. Esther Ellsworth died on 3 November 1791 at age 88.

     Capt Samuel Wells was the son of Samuel Wells and Ruth Judson. Capt Samuel Wells married Esther Ellsworth, daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White, in 1722.

     Hannah (Anna) Ellsworth was born in 1705. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White.

     Martha Ellsworth was born in 1708. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White. Martha Ellsworth married Nathaniel Stoughton, son of John Stoughton and Sarah Fitch, in 1729.

     Ann Ellsworth was born in 1712. She was the daughter of John Ellsworth and Esther White. Ann Ellsworth married Capt. Ebenezer Grant, son of Samuel Grant Jr. and Grace Minor, on 10 November 1737. Ann Ellsworth died in 1790.

     Mary Trumbull was the daughter of Joseph Trumbull and Hannah Smith. Mary Trumbull married Job Ellsworth, son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe, on 19 December 1695. Mary Trumbull died September, 1710.

     Joseph Trumbull was born on 19 March 1647 at Rowley, MA.³ He was the son of Deacon John Trumbull and Ellen (?)

Stiles (Vol 2, Pg 766) does not list Mary by name, just two unnamed daughters, but Bowman lists her as his daughter.

     Deacon John Trumbull was buried on 18 May 1657. He died in 1657.

     Sarah Warner married John Clark. Sarah Warner was born in 1670. She was the daughter of Robert Warner and Elizabeth Grant. Sarah Warner married Job Ellsworth, son of Sgt. Josiah Ellsworth and Elizabeth Holcombe, in October 1711. Sarah Warner died in 1755.

     John Clark married Sarah Warner, daughter of Robert Warner and Elizabeth Grant.

     Benjamin Ellsworth was born on 1 October 1696. He was the son of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Benjamin Ellsworth married Deborah Hosford, daughter of John Hosford Jr. and Deborah Brown, on 28 October 1721.

     Deborah Hosford was the daughter of John Hosford Jr. and Deborah Brown. Deborah Hosford married Benjamin Ellsworth, son of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull, on 28 October 1721. Deborah Hosford died on 22 December 1747.

     Job Ellsworth was born on 5 June 1698. He was the son of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Job Ellsworth died on 30 June 1724 at Newport, RI, at age 26.

     Hannah Ellsworth was born on 10 February 1700. She was the daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Hannah Ellsworth married Deacon Jonathan Strong, son of Sgt. John Strong and Hannah Trumbull. Hannah Ellsworth died on 9 October 1762 at age 62.

     Mary Ellsworth was born in 1703. She was the daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Mary Ellsworth died in 1707.

     Elizabeth Ellsworth was born on 5 April 1706. She was the daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull. Elizabeth Ellsworth married Hugh Thompson, son of William Thompson and Margaret Milne, on 11 January 1727 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Hugh Thompson was born in 1713 at Ireland. He was the son of William Thompson and Margaret Milne. Hugh Thompson married Elizabeth Ellsworth, daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull, on 11 January 1727 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Hugh Thompson died on 30 April 1773 at Tewksbury, Hunterdon Co., NJ.

     William Thompson married Margaret Milne. William Thompson died circa 1717 at Ireland.¹

     Margaret Milne married William Thompson. Margaret Milne died on 20 January 1752.¹ She was buried at Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington, Tolland Co., CT.²

     Margaret Ellsworth died in 1709. She was born in 1709. She was the daughter of Job Ellsworth and Mary Trumbull.

     Mindwell was the Daughter of John Moore who came on the Mary and John. Mindwell Moore was born on 10 July 1643 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Deacon John Moore and Abigail Phinney. Mindwell Moore married Nathaniel Bissell, son of Capt. John Bissell and Mary Drake, on 25 September 1662 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² Mindwell Moore died on 24 November 1682 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 39.
