     Annie Spencer Hayden was born on 3 March 1883.¹ She was the daughter of Judge Charles Trumbull Hayden and Sallie Cavert Davis.¹ Annie Spencer Hayden died on 2 September 1885 at age 2.¹

     Mary Louisa Hayden was born on 21 November 1886. She was the daughter of Judge Charles Trumbull Hayden and Sallie Cavert Davis.

     Esther Dennison was the daughter of Charles Dennison and Delilah (?)¹ Esther Dennison married Chauncey Eno Viets, son of Capt. John Viets and Abigail Eno, on 31 May 1837 at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Esther Dennison died on 25 March 1839.¹

     Nancy Nooney was born on 15 February 1817 at Chester, MA.¹ She was the daughter of James Nooney Jr. and Abigail (?)¹ Nancy Nooney married Chauncey Eno Viets, son of Capt. John Viets and Abigail Eno, on 31 October 1839 at Chester, MA.¹ Nancy Nooney died in 1902 at Chester, MA.¹

     Edward H. Bowers married Mary Adelia Viets, daughter of Capt. John Viets and Abigail Eno, on 16 March 1848.¹ Edward H. Bowers died in March 1872.¹

     Eddy Rollin Bowers was born on 22 October 1849.¹ She was the daughter of Edward H. Bowers and Mary Adelia Viets.¹ Eddy Rollin Bowers died in April 1856 at age 6.¹

     Alice Augusta Bowers was born on 28 January 1852.¹ She was the daughter of Edward H. Bowers and Mary Adelia Viets. Alice Augusta Bowers died on 23 February 1925 at Hartford, Hartford Co., CT, at age 73.¹

     William D. Bowers was the son of Edward H. Bowers and Mary Adelia Viets. William D. Bowers died on 27 December 1899.¹

     Cordelia Tryphena Rouse was born on 5 January 1827 at Bennington, Bennington Co., VT.¹ She was the daughter of Joel Chapman Rouse and Emily Mary Henderson. Cordelia Tryphena Rouse married James Rollin Viets, son of Capt. John Viets and Abigail Eno, on 14 September 1852. Cordelia Tryphena Rouse died on 3 October 1916 at Salem, MA, at age 89.² She was buried at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.²

     Isaac Owen was born on 24 September 1736.¹ He was the son of Ensign Isaac Owen and Mary Ellsworth. Isaac Owen married Zerviah Griswold, daughter of George Griswold and Zerviah Griswold, at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.² Isaac Owen died on 2 August 1816 at age 79.¹

     Zerviah Griswold was born on 22 December 1735 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of George Griswold and Zerviah Griswold.² Zerviah Griswold married Isaac Owen, son of Ensign Isaac Owen and Mary Ellsworth, at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT.¹ Zerviah Griswold died on 22 March 1817 at age 81.¹ She was buried at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     James Breakenridge was born say 1721; based on age at death. He died in 1783 at Bennington, Bennington Co., VT.¹

James Breakenridge, who was born in Ireland, served in the early wars. He was such a prominent patriot during the Revolution that Tryon offered a bounty for his capture. He was a member of the Dorset convention and it was upon his farm that the settlers of Bennington made a successful stand against the attempt of the New York claimants to dispossess them by force from the New Hampshire grants.²

     Emily Henderson Viets was born on 14 November 1865 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.^1,2 She was the daughter of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Julia Gracie Viets was born on 14 July 1868 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.¹ Julia Gracie Viets died on 19 November 1868.¹

     John Berthrong Viets was born on 27 June 1853 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Helen Mary Viets was born on 17 August 1854 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Henry Rouse Viets was born on 17 February 1856 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Frederick Henderson Viets was born on 7 July 1858 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     James Rollin Viets Jr. was born on 2 December 1860 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Arthur Eno Viets was born on 27 August 1864 at East Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of James Rollin Viets and Cordelia Tryphena Rouse.

     Amassa Moore was born on 5 July 1772 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Job Moore and Mehitable Case. Amassa Moore married Mercy Holcombe, daughter of Caleb Holcombe and Mercy (?), circa 1795.¹ Amassa Moore died on 2 December 1814 at Granby, Hartford Co., CT, at age 42.¹

     Job Moore was born on 25 August 1738 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Sanders Moore and Mabel Kelsey.² Job Moore died between 27 June 1799 and 19 October 1803.¹

     Laura Moore was born say 1797 at near Granby, Hartford Co., CT.¹ She was the daughter of Amassa Moore and Mercy Holcombe. Laura Moore married Hezekiah Skinner on 27 November 1817.¹ Laura Moore died after 1870 at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

Laura came from Connecticut to Windsor, OH, with her mother, Mercy. Hezekiah is probably the "Hezekiah" who build the first mill at Windsor Mills, OH. He gave his occupation as "miller" in the 1860 census. Laura was living alone with her daughter at Windsor, OH, in 1870.¹

     Timothy Alderman II was born on 17 September 1786 at CT.^1,2 He was the son of Timothy Alderman and Tabitha Phelps. Timothy Alderman II married Mercy Holcombe, daughter of Caleb Holcombe and Mercy (?), on 25 September 1807.^1,3,4 Timothy Alderman II married Susan L. Willmarth on 20 October 1851.^1,4 Timothy Alderman II died on 23 August 1869 at age 82.¹

Timothy and Mercy were enumerated in the 1850 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census. He was a farmer, age 63; she was 71. There were no children in the household, but Timothy Jerome was living next door with his family.

Timothy and Susan L. were enumerated in the 1860 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, page 121. He was a farmer age 73, born in CT; she was 43, born in NY. Susan L., age 7 was in the household with them.

Susanna was enumerated in the 1870 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, page 18. She was keeping house, age 52. Daughter Susan L., age 17, born in OH, was also in the household.

     Timothy Alderman was born on 24 September 1764.¹ He was the son of Joseph Alderman Jr. and Keziah Holcombe. Timothy Alderman married Sallie West.² Timothy Alderman died on 18 June 1841 at age 76.¹


Timothy Alderman was said to have been born in Granby, Hartford County, Conn., where he was baptized on April 28, 1765. His son Reuben was baptized July 6, 1800. He moved to Windsor, Ohio, in 1804 when his father and other members of the family took to the western trail. By occupation he was a farmer but until they could clear some land there was no place to grow crops. In order to hasten this operation all members of the family, including the women and children, did all possible in helping the men folk. There is a family tradition that Timothy's first wife, Tabitha, though expecting another child, was assisting in cutting down some trees and so injured herself that both she and the unborn child died. An old Indian doctor had been called in and he said that he could save the baby but not the mother, so Timothy said "Let them go together." Her father, Job Phelps, was born October 5, 1727. He served in the 5th Co. of 2nd Reg. of Connecticut, War of American Revolution. ³

     Timothy Jerome Alderman was born on 19 December 1817 at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH.^1,2 He was the son of Timothy Alderman II and Mercy Holcombe.¹ Timothy Jerome Alderman married Caroline J. Palmer on 5 March 1843.² Timothy Jerome Alderman married Pauline Pease on 8 October 1851.^1,2 Timothy Jerome Alderman died on 11 October 1890 at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, at age 72.¹

Timothy and Caroline were enumerated in the 1850 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census. He was a farmer age 33; she was 25. Children in the household were Cassius M. age 6, and Lucy J. age 4.

T. J. and Pauline were enumerated in the 1860 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH federal census, page 121. He was a farmer age 42, born in OH; she was 28, born in NY. Children in the household were Marcellus age 16, Lucy age 14, Louisa age 5, and Emma 2.

T. J. and Pauline were enumerated in the 1870 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census, page 19. He was a farmer age 53, born in OH; she was 38, born in NY. Children in the household, all born in OH, wre Louisa age 15, and Emma 12.

T. Jerome Alderman and Pauline were enumerated in the 1880 Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH, census. He was a farmer and 22 year old
Emma was living with them.

     Mercy Selina Alderman was born on 28 June 1819 at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH.^1,2 She was the daughter of Timothy Alderman II and Mercy Holcombe.¹ Mercy Selina Alderman married Gilbert Grover on 21 June 1837.¹ Mercy Selina Alderman died in 1907 at Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH.¹

Gilbert and Salina were enumerated in the 1850 Hartsgrove, Ashtabula Co., OH, federal census. He was a farmer, age 35, she was 31. Children in the houehold were Corydon 9, and Llewellen 8/12.

     Susan L. Willmarth was born on 19 June 1817 at NY.^1,3 She married Timothy Alderman II, son of Timothy Alderman and Tabitha Phelps, on 20 October 1851.^1,3 Susan L. Willmarth died on 8 January 1878 at age 60.³

     Susan Lavinia Alderman was born on 3 April 1853 at Windsor, Ashtabula Co., OH.^1,2 She was the daughter of Timothy Alderman II and Susan L. Willmarth.¹ Susan Lavinia Alderman married Isaac Beal Deeter on 25 December 1871.² Susan Lavinia Alderman died on 31 March 1935 at age 81.²
