     Ebenezer Loomis lived at Blenheim, NY. He was born on 9 November 1712. He was the son of Josiah Loomis and Elizabeth Kelsey. Ebenezer Loomis married Hannah Griffin on 17 May 1736.

     Jacob Loomis was born on 26 November 1720 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Josiah Loomis and Elizabeth Kelsey. Jacob Loomis married Dolly Hartman before 1748 at Tughkanic, Columbia Co., NY.

     Francis Loomis was born on 12 June 1726 at Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Josiah Loomis and Elizabeth Kelsey. Francis Loomis married Elizabeth Pinney. Francis Loomis died in 1783.

     Elizabeth Pinney married Francis Loomis, son of Josiah Loomis and Elizabeth Kelsey.

     Dolly Hartman married Jacob Loomis, son of Josiah Loomis and Elizabeth Kelsey, before 1748 at Tughkanic, Columbia Co., NY.

     Abigail Filley was born on 3 January 1679. She married Ensign Job Loomis, son of Sgt. Daniel Loomis and Mary Ellsworth, on 27 April 1710. Abigail Filley died in 1758.

     Job Loomis was born on 11 March 1710/11 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Ensign Job Loomis and Abigail Filley. Job Loomis married Hannah Eno, daughter of James Eno III and Hannah Phelps, in 1736. Job Loomis died in 1772 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.

     Hannah Eno was born on 1 September 1710. She was the daughter of James Eno III and Hannah Phelps. Hannah Eno married Job Loomis, son of Ensign Job Loomis and Abigail Filley, in 1736. Hannah Eno died in 1793.

     Abigail Loomis was born on 10 April 1713 or 1714. She was the daughter of Ensign Job Loomis and Abigail Filley. Abigail Loomis married Gen. Benjamin Allen on 9 August 1733. Abigail Loomis died on 29 May 1795.

     Gen. Benjamin Allen married Abigail Loomis, daughter of Ensign Job Loomis and Abigail Filley, on 9 August 1733. Gen. Benjamin Allen died on 18 March 1776.

     Eunice Loomis was born on 25 July 1716. She was the daughter of Ensign Job Loomis and Abigail Filley. Eunice Loomis died before 1758.

     John Eno was born on 2 December 1654 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of James Eno and Anna Bidwell. John Eno married Mary Dibble, daughter of Ebenezer Dibble and Mary Wakefield, on 10 May 1681.

     Mary Dibble was born on 24 December 1664. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Dibble and Mary Wakefield. Mary Dibble married John Eno, son of James Eno and Anna Bidwell, on 10 May 1681.

     Elizabeth (?) married Joseph Gillett, son of Joseph Gillett and Elizabeth Hawkes, after 1719.¹ Elizabeth (?) died after 9 July 1743.¹

     Martha Eno was born on 6 April 1685. She was the daughter of John Eno and Mary Dibble.

     Sarah Eno was the daughter of John Eno and Mary Dibble.

     Anna Eno was born on 10 April 1682. She was the daughter of John Eno and Mary Dibble. Anna Eno married Ensign John Loomis, son of Sgt. Daniel Loomis and Mary Ellsworth, on 24 April 1712.

     Ann Loomis was born on 7 March 1718/19. She was the daughter of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno. Ann Loomis married Jabez Gillett, son of John Gillett and Elizabeth Drake.

Bowman lists 10 children, but the birth order she gives does not correspond the the birth years she gives, and she lists the 10th child as Jabez, born in 1818-dy, the year his father died and his mother would have been 100 that year.

     Ezra Loomis was born on 10 September 1721. He was the son of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno. Ezra Loomis died on 18 December 1745 at Louisburg Expedition at age 24.

     Anne Loomis was born on 8 May 1724. She was the daughter of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno. Anne Loomis died on 11 November 1734 at age 10.

     (Not Joel Adams-see corrections Loomis Book.) Lucy Loomis was born on 21 August 1729. She was the daughter of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno. Lucy Loomis married Robert Joyner, son of William Joyner and Elizabeth Eads, in 1757. Lucy Loomis died in 1801.

     Jabez Gillett was born on 30 July 1738. He was the son of John Gillett and Elizabeth Drake.² Jabez Gillett married Ann Loomis, daughter of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno.

     Robert Joyner was born in 1725. He was the son of William Joyner and Elizabeth Eads. Robert Joyner married Lucy Loomis, daughter of Ensign John Loomis and Anna Eno, in 1757. Robert Joyner died in 1802 at Berkshire Co., MA.

     John Gillett was born on 11 September 1707 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹ He was the son of Daniel Gillett and Mary Eno.¹ John Gillett married Elizabeth Drake, daughter of Enoch Drake and Elizabeth Barber, on 30 September 1731.² John Gillett died on 24 December 1800 at age 93.²

     Elizabeth Drake was born on 3 February 1707/8.¹ She was the daughter of Enoch Drake and Elizabeth Barber.² Elizabeth Drake married John Gillett, son of Daniel Gillett and Mary Eno, on 30 September 1731.¹ Elizabeth Drake died on 5 January 1802 at age 93.¹

     John Elderkin married Elizabeth Drake, daughter of John Drake and Elizabeth Rogers, on 1 March 1660 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     John Drake was born circa 1600 at Wiscomb, County Devon, England. He married Elizabeth Rogers at probably England.² John Drake died on 17 August 1659 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² He was buried on 18 August 1659 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.²

John the emigrant, came to Boston, 1630; bought land at Taunton, but did not settle; came to Windsor before 1639. "Aug. 17, 1659, John Drake, Sr, dyed accidentally as he was driving a cart loaded with corn to cary from his house to his son Jacob's; the cattle being 2 oxen, and his mare. In the highway, against John Griffin's, somethng scared the cattle, and they set a running, and he laboring to stop them by taking hold on the mare, was thrown down on his face, and the cart-wheel went over him, brake one of his legs, and bruised his bodye so that he was taken up dead, being carried to his daughter's house, had life come again, but dyed in a short time, and was buried on the 18th of August, 1659."

     Mary Drake was the daughter of John Drake and Elizabeth Rogers. Mary Drake married John Gaylord, son of Deacon William Gaylord, on 17 November 1653. Mary Drake died on 12 June 1683.

     Joseph Barber was born in 1681 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Samuel Barber and Ruth Drake. Joseph Barber married Mary Loomis, daughter of Nathaniel Loomis and Elizabeth Moore, on 6 May 1708 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. Joseph Barber died in 1748.

     Joseph Barber was born on 28 January 1708/9 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ He was the son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Joseph Barber married Elizabeth Cook, daughter of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Vore, on 18 June 1728 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ Joseph Barber died in 1795.³

     Elizabeth Cook was the daughter of Nathaniel Cook and Lydia Vore. Elizabeth Cook married Joseph Barber, son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis, on 18 June 1728 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.¹

     Adonijah Holcombe Jr. was born circa 1838 at NY.¹ He was the son of Adonijah Holcombe II and Betsey Hillyer.¹

     Daniel Barber was born on 2 July 1712 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Daniel Barber died on 27 June 1714 at age 1.

     Quoting from Don Barber:

"The Brunham and Loomis Genealogies both say that Josep Barber is the father of mry Barber who married Thomas Brunham, but the will of Nathaniel Barber shows mary Brunham to be nathaniel Barber's daughter, and thur the Drake Genealogy is correct that Joseph is the father fo the Mary Barber who married Enoch Drake."

Don references the CHS:Drake Gen. Mary Barber married Thomas Burnham. Mary Barber was born on 24 March 1713/14. She was the daughter of Nathaniel Barber and Mary Filley.

     Stiles is not sure of this marriage (Pg. 51). Mindwell Barber was born on 8 October 1716 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis.

     Daniel Barber was born on 23 April 1719 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. He was the son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Daniel Barber married Naomi Barber, daughter of John Barber and Jane Alvord, in 1741 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT. Daniel Barber died on 29 September 1775 at age 56.

Daniel and Naomi were first cousins. They settled in Harwinton, CT about 1746, near C. S. Barber's place, and removed, about 1750 to or near Amenia, NY.

Daniel and Naomi Barber lived in Dutchess County NY for a period of time, where Daniel's name appears on the account book of Joseph Mabbett, indicating he purchased powder and a shovel, p. 177 Ref: National Genealogical Society Quarterly, Kenneth Scott, F.A.S.G. Some Dutchess County, New York, Residents, 1761-1763. June 1986, Vol.74, No. 2 p. 128-130

Two of their eight children were born in Harwinton, CT. The records of Dutchess County, NY give the following children of Daniel and Naomi Barber, all baptized June 5, 1757: Martha, Mary, Elizabeth, Ruth, Joolumis, and Joseph.


They returned from NY to Ct and in 1770 were living in Harwinton, but as to where the closing years of their lives were spent is an unsolved problem.

     Elizabeth Barber was born on 5 February 1721 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Elizabeth Barber died on 1 June 1722 at age 1.

     Jonah Barber was born on 9 January 1723/24 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² He was the son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Jonah Barber married Jerusha Barber, daughter of John Barber and Jane Alvord, on 10 July 1747 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.² Jonah Barber died on 26 June 1795 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT, at age 71.²

     Stiles gives Abigail's death date but places her last on the birth sequence. Abigail Barber was born in 1713 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis. Abigail Barber died on 11 July 1714.

     Thomas Burnham married Mary Barber, daughter of Nathaniel Barber and Mary Filley. Thomas Burnham died in 1802.

     Naomi Barber was born on 17 January 1721 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of John Barber and Jane Alvord. Naomi Barber married Daniel Barber, son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis, in 1741 at Harwinton, Litchfield Co., CT.

     Jerusha Barber was born on 26 September 1730 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT. She was the daughter of John Barber and Jane Alvord. Jerusha Barber married Jonah Barber, son of Joseph Barber and Mary Loomis, on 10 July 1747 at Windsor, Hartford Co., CT.³ Jerusha Barber died on 6 February 1781 at age 50.

     Samuel Eggleston was born at England. He was the son of Bygod Eggleston and Mary (?)

     Hannah Eggleston was born on 7 February 1691/92. She was the daughter of Thomas Eggleston and Grace Hoskins. Hannah Eggleston married Isaac Loomis, son of Sgt. Daniel Loomis and Mary Ellsworth, on 26 April 1716. Hannah Eggleston died on 6 November 1752 at age 60.

     Thomas Eggleston married Grace Hoskins.

     Grace Hoskins married Thomas Eggleston.
